This right here this right here. I have to say it was God that told me you don’t want nobody back that ghosted you, how can they be trusted? Then the next day I saw a post that said “if you have to heal over someone that hurt you, you don’t need them” That was conformation enough for me. Even though I really liked him I could never take him back. I’m good. You definitely can’t trust a person like that. If you know you were a good person and they ghosted you, God did you a favor and time heals hurts.

As much i caused the breakup by lying about silly things on 3 occasions (out of character for me), i realised when i sat down with myself that i opened myself up to them over the 3yrs together. So I've had lied by ommission to keep some independence for my self and stop being so open when they're not. I've never met their family/friends or even at least spoken to them though multiple invitations from my side and have at least spoken to my family and friends. Invitations to meet my side, just to be excused eveytime, that they have their child (im child free, he has 1) and won't jeopardise that unless it was important (understandable). I've shared all these things you mentioned but not been recipricated and constantly subjected to suspicions of cheating which has become offensive (ive never had and would cheat). And constant criticism about what i do, say, am has become unbearable. Feel ive unconsciously sabotaged by lying as i know we shouldnt be together..😢

I blocked him after year a few days ago. I never expected the feeling of peace I have, but there’s no guilt anymore for being who I am or being worried that I’m doing something wrong just by being me. It feels so good, I’m actually sleeping better and my neck is less tense.

A total giveaway for a narc is when they get more upset about someone finding out something bad about them, versus displaying actual remorse (behind closed doors) for whatever the bad behavior was. The sad thing is that the narcissism itself keeps them from truly understanding what's wrong about that. They are unable to truly look inward with humility. You can explain it to them a thousand times, but its just empty words and feigned signs of growth to manipulate you into forgiving and "moving on"...

They truly dont change for the new supply, they just put on that mask in public. And if they stay together, allthat tells you is they either found someone they can absolutely control, or they found someone just like them and they both are living a lie, and bathing in eachothers toxicity. My mom fits the criteria. Right down to past drug alcohol use. Having a favorite child while abusing the other. I read the diagnostic criteria and I was floored. My entire life.

My dad is a narcissist and one thing i noticed is that narcissits get REALLY mad when u call them out on it. They try to make excuse as to why they behave like that but i can see right through his excuses i can read him like a book. He think i dont know anything bc ik young and hes "old and wise" but in reality ik a lot about peoples behaviors and what makes them behave that way. Im a bit of a narcissist to but not in a way where it changes my entire personality im more bipolar if anything but after studing peoples actions, behaviors and how they talk i can tell what kind of person u are but my dad thinks its bc "i dont know better and to judgmentel" i mean i kinda am but i can see thru his excuses hes a narcissistic liar who thinks hes always right and that everyone is bullshitting him when they bring out facts

I agree whole-heartedly. I believe, though, that society teaches that you're a weakling if you let a hurt or a harmful event get too deeply into your emotions; too far under your skin. I only had one friend that would tolerate me bringing up the subject of my pain because the others would sigh, and hem, and haw, and give alot of "why don't you just forget about this dude? Why are you still giving this time and energy?" That's how we're conditioned to deal with heartache; just act like it isn't happening or didn't happen at all. I always thought that that way was the most harmful. I always thought that I would always be held prisoner by the situation if I didn't let myself physically and spiritually process the events of our time together unbiasedly, examine it like putting together a puzzle. See things the way they actually happened and not just the way I 'saw' them. Sometimes the pieces didn't quite fit but now, since I've done the work, that's okay. With acceptance, I wake up everyday saying to myself, "Whew! It feels good to be free in my mind, body and soul.
