I just retired and had always hoped to move somewhere in NE Tennessee to settle down, but that seems more and more unlikely since so many out of state investors are buying up homes to turn them into rentals/B&B's for profit. I'm not sure it will ever return to the market it was several years ago that was so friendly to the average home buyer. Oh well... there's always North Carolina I guess.

We are still seeing multiple offers on many properties while states like California have seen significant price cuts. Housing markets do vary around the country.

Turns out it was local…. Definitely over priced nationally but eastern Tn was much more resilient than Nashville
