Well, if you think of the US as if it was the European Union. Vegas essentially is a country so it's not that far off. Also, it is technically possible for a state to declare its independence through revolution and/or by majority vote among the other states. If that were the case, Vegas very much could be its own country. Or looking at it from the other direction, if the European Union continues at the rate it's going... All countries that make up the EU could form one nation of states just like the US.

@@anncurley123 What happened to most African countries - Europeans in, establish control/system, albeit oppressive end exploitative, they also divide the countries by their own accord, thats why you got tribes who were separated into multiple groups, and countries where 5+ ethnicity lives together - After WW1 and WW2 Europeans out, but they take their system with themselves - Some freedomfighter/military leader seize the opportunity of their destabilized nation, establishes a dictatorship - Results: Most african countries, lack system, logistic, infrastructure, and even resources but they have infighting
@nightwatchmd4 жыл бұрын
@@anncurley123 Sure. When African countries gained their independence after decades or centuries of colonization, many European countries kept their foot in the door by securing important ressouces for their own companies by bribing officials, destabilizing and overthrowing governments by supporting different fractions with financial and military means (weapons delivery). Therefore, we take the resources for little money, use them to build our weapons, sell the weapons for a nice price to support one side or another in (maybe otherwise less violent) conflicts that were already there or just emerged, while bribing a few protagonists to keep it cooking. In addition, we keep a subvention wall for our products (eg wheat) to make them insanely cheap and impossible for African countries to export their products to Europe. Heck, it's even cheaper for many African countries to import cheapened European products than use their own products. And people wonder why (some) African countries are still considered 'shitholes'...

With the invasion today, the part with Russia was ominous...
@KasumiRINA2 жыл бұрын
The russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 so they weren't predicting things as much as stating what russia does all the time. They invaded Georgia twice too, in 1990s and 2008 and we're just talking about russia without USSR.

By 2017 Trump turned the US into an energy (oil) independent country - no more need to fight over oil in the middle east. Instead of going along with the vicious dictatorship that is China, he focused on building a strong national economy, including manufacturing. No costly wars and a solid economy means low unemployment and financial surplus thatcan be invested in... uh I dunno... new and alternative energy sources? Fortunately that's all going to change very quickly now! The Keystone pipeline is gone and the green new deal focuses on a fear driven agenda of harsh restrictions and high taxation that'll just make the wrong people rich and the right people miserable (all of us plebs). Hey you get what you vote for. Or didn't vote for.
