I feel like Will is like one of those really good people, like just really kind and genuine. And it shows in the music he creates, how he spreads his positivity. Some of his music does have dark undertones but there is always a positive spin to be found. I wish I knew him in person.

+ReadingRhinoPress I met him once, since I was opening a concert of his trio with my band, the Dead Cat in a Bag. The concert was meant to be kind of gloomy (we play folk noir, he was known as the author of I See A Darkness): everyone around was carrying a bag of tears for the occasion, and well, he turned out to be a sweet, kind, funny guy, very respectful of some younger and less known musician, and very careful of the audience. It was a party, in the end. A great show, a great evening and a good meeting.

I have honestly only just discovered B"P"B but searching out more and finding some guy 'Will Oldham' and I gotta say I really dig them both. Impressed with the honesty and generosity in the music. If I had any talent in this regard I'd be inspired, as I don't I'll just have to try being more generous and honest. Thanks!

The way that he's talking about these songs I feel very similarly about Jon Gibson's (composer that worked with Philip Glass, not Christian Rock musician) "Two Solo Pieces". Some of the most beautiful stuff you'll hear I promise...
