Will Our Barn Find Golf GTI Survive a 1500 Mile Road Trip?

This week, Jack, Ethan and Edwin take the abandoned Mk2 Golf GTI barn find project back to the factory it was built in all those years ago. They'll take the GTI on an epic 1500 mile road trip in just 72 hours. A real challenge. We'll test the car's top speed on the autobahn, see the Volkswagen factory, and then go for an incredible lap around the famous Nürburgring. Will the GTI do us proud?

I really like that these 3 are doing this with CT and we can still watch Alex being the world's oldest 5 year old on auto Alex 😁 it never felt entirely natural with Jack and Ethan, with Taylor it definitely is. I also think jack and Ethan are probably happier making these videos

Not actually the seal but the sunroof drains blocked. Front two can be rodded with wire from above (they exit in front door shuts), rear two are better accessed from dropping the headlining and popping the join off, poke the shit out down in to rear wheel arches. I made the mistake of changing seal which did nothing, it's not supposed to be water tight

The sunroof seal is never water tight that's why there is sunroof drain holes these get blocked and its this that causes the sunroof to leak not the seal.

I think during the long road trip with the £500 modified cars while Alex was still on showed this difference in philosophy, particularly when he repeatedly hit the Citroen and when he knocked the mirror off of the Focus. Hope you consider this suggestion; since the last EVER Fiesta has rolled out of the factory (I shed a tear 😢), find a MK 1 or MK 2 Fiesta, rescue and repair that, then take it to Dagenham and a race track. Really enjoyed this series, felt natural. Top Gear comparisons are obvious with car channels, but this series is probably the first time it hasn't felt they were trying to "do" Top Gear, and funnily enough they captured the genuine matey energy of TG at it's best.
