Don’t get me wrong, I love ENxPs and I’ve had great times with them. I think the reason I stuck around INxPs more though is because of the shared introversion. I feel less burned out than when I’m around the extroverted counterparts. I’ve gone my own way and don’t do relationships anymore but the xNxPs are definitely my favorite people. I love you all.

I'm an INFP and an INTJ colleague of mine has recently confessed to me that he has feelings for me. I am not interested, although the whole straight in your face Ni love confessions and text messages are very endearing to my Ne parent. He catched feelings for me just because I am the only person in the world who's being nice to him, and is patient enough to deal with his temper. He comes off extremely arrogant, and his Fe trickster makes him behave mega weird (but I have to admit sometimes fe trickster's flexes are golden). Eventually, INFP-INTJ relationships stems from rule number 2 of loving an INFP. "Don't give up on them." Because we're so used to people giving up on us, and not sticking around, we end up not giving up on others, no matter what - because we know how painful it is when somebody gives up on you, and we don't want other people to feel what it's like being given up on. So we dig straight into their core, as we wish somebody would have done the same to us. Also, INFP's nature is extremely sympathetic. When I see this fe trickster incidents, I just think to myself - well, I myself do not really catch all social rules and ettiquette, I myself sometimes act weird, say stupid things, etc. So instead of judging INTJ's like everyone else, I'm being sympathetic. This is even more important with INTJ women in terms of friendship. You once filmed a video about how can an INTJ get female friends, and you were talking about it mostly from a nurtural point of view, but from a nature point of view - the advice that I would have given is to actually find an INFP friend. INFP's are usually extremely likeable by people, while INTJ's usually extremely unlikeble. So, they can learn a lot from INFP's about about how to be more likeable. Though, highly agree with the bottom line - this is not a relationship for marriage.

INFPs are not likeable lol. They have zero Se and aren't Fe users. The least likeable people without masking in random groups would be STJ/NFP quadra by far, then INTs, then ENTJ, ISTP, ENTP. As an INTJ who dated some INPs in the past… I honestly don’t recommend it unless you are old and need to settle. I played it safe with 2 of my INP partners where their Ni critic always got in the way. It was soooooo annoying! Annoying! Being triple movement and wanting things happen fast, especially as an INTJ woman, dating them is the “slow road.” INTJs aren’t forceful or demand shit like an ENJ so it’s hard to articulate what you want to the INPs. It’s hard to make them want the relationship with you. Sure they are consistent and it feels like they want the relationship but the annoying “let’s see what happens” from them doesn’t give you that certainty. You want a fast relationship INTJs? Date an ENFP then. Imo as I’ve been into typology for 2 years or more.. I notice that I myself do better with ENPs but the ENFP is more willing to speed up and give you what you want out of the relationship. That’s my take. Anyways good video chase!

Hello Felicia. Regardless of your personality type, what you said about INFP is a spot on. Making an INFP fall in love with you is very easy. Just like all Earth Types, making them feel wanted, desired, comfortable, giving presents, this all works to make an INFP fall in love with you. However, making the INFP commit to a relationship definitely takes a lot of time. Because of Ni Critic, even knowing they are very attracted to you, they will not commit unless they are 100% sure you are actually the one for the INFP. INFPs don't like to jump on something unless it guaranteed the result. On top of that the INFP has the vice of treachery, so if for some reason you are in a sexual relationship with an INFP and he realized you are not the one, he will be the one to break the relationship asap. And if that happens, that is ENTIRELY the INFP's fault because he didn't check or got to know you better. INFPs are very afraid that this can happen, that is why it takes so long for them to commit to a relationship. That is also one of the reasons why INFPs in general have such low body counts. But when they finally realized you are the one and they have no other doubts, then their living Virtue of Loyalty will activate and they will remain loyal to you until the end of days (probably).

I (male INFP) was once in a relationship with an INTJ girl in college. She actually initiated conversation with me on the day we met, and that alone was enough to leave an impression in me. The beginning of the relationship was filled with great moments, little conflict, good relationship with her family, daily sex, and we traveled at least twice. The decay of the relationship came immediately as its end. We agreed to be friends, but one day she randomly disappeared from all social media and essentially erased me and every trait of myself from her whole existence, including separating herself from everyone she knew who was associated in some form with me. Something similar happened to me (INFP) and an INFJ friend I had. We were close friends throughout our entire lives, always keeping contact with each other. We are both straight dudes but our friendship was amazing regardless. But 2 years ago out of nowhere he closed all contact with me, and blocked me from all social media. I don't know the reason, and there is no way for me to contact him again. I guess that is what they call the famous INFJ door slam, and I think it can happen with INTJs as well. They basically erase you and other people from their existence.

The channel was run by, you guessed it! an infp and intj but then the intj did the same thing and these two were running a business together but she(intj) just left all of a sudden...it was weird. This all applies to my life to a scary level. My husband is an INFP and I am INTJ. He acts more like an ENFP though. I picked him out and approached him. I felt strangely comfortable talking to him. He thought I was funny. NOBODY ever thought I was funny. We met in mid teen years and have been together for 18 years with one child. It was our first relationship. I am an infp and I have to admit Chase is right about the need for power and authority although I have just started to think about in in those terms thanks to him. I have noticed lately that I tend to want to keep around people that I consider at or above my ‘level’ be it how deeply someone can hold a conversation or how steadfastly they hold on to their values (even if they differ from my own, I admire that - as long as they are not trespassing mine lol) but yeah…if I think of it in terms of the ‘power’ they bring to my life simply by elevating my status and making me more knowledgeable and therefore giving me more ‘authority’ that is exactly what it is 😳 (also, how can we submit questions to Chase??)

Hey ,. This might be a weird question, but : I actually right now am in the process of maybe starting to Date an INFP girl. And I agree with almost everything you said here . But I really do believe we have a chance, mostly because she is so incredibly hard working, curious & actively interested in learning and personal growth and good hearted, its almost unbelievable. I mean the amount of suffering and hardship she has consistently had throughout her life is stunning to me, and yet she has one of the best attitude I have ever witnessed, almost. go for it! How you described your INFP reminds me of myself (INFP woman too). Curious-minded and very knowledgeable about almost everything! I research, study, learn and enjoy deep thinkers like me. I am also big on introspection, self-improvement and growth. I've been through many hardships (horrible trauma) but I'm still very kind, loyal and compassionate. INFP women are keepers! Most INFP women I know are not into casual hookups; we're reserved, value deep connections and don't waste our time on people who aren't worth it. I think I'm a UDUF INTJ, and ive always ended up having bad experiences or endings in relationships with INFP mostly friendships. And it sucks because during the beginning when the relationship was young and we didnt experience emotional incompatibility as much until months or years later. But its fine. Ive genuinely learned to avoid romantic relationships with INFPs no offense, but I would rather have a friend from a distance I will keep my guard up to some extent. And I'll still respect them as well, as long as we don't expose too much vulnerability*. Yes my INFP friend who i was close to several of years later, she was becoming more apparently judgemental. And it was subtle like she wouldnt be direct about what would bother her about me so that I could acknowledge it. She is 5 years older than me and we met based on a common interest. Part of why we split was because she often talked down to me as someone with "not enough experience" to contribute as many ideas to it as I can. As if my ideas or suggestions towards the intellectual subject are not good enough. I am often suspicious of INFPs a lot.

I think the cognitive compatibility first came from yung , I.e te eats ti , then based on it he made the videos of social compatibility , then using it + putting sexual compatibility above the emotional for romance based on other books he read about relationships and personal experience + knowing pessimistic functions prefer other pessimistic functions and same with optimistic ( from john Beebe's work ) he came up with romantic compatibility. INTJ here. I can't speak on behalf of every INTJ out there but I thought I would share my experience. I don't believe in fortune telling or astrology, they simply don't make any sense and mostly rely on cognitive biases to be believable, but INTJs find comfort in patterns and consistency. Ni is a pattern-seeking device, which makes INTJs good at anticipating future events. And when we do so, we can prepare accordingly, which lessens the probability of chaos occurring; and with it, the emotional burden. Predicting is partly a tool we use for psychological comfort as well. This side of the INTJ may make them more inclined to indulge in some "methods" of prediction. Even though I don't believe in such "methods", I often find myself guilty of seeing patterns that ultimately hold no relevance, and irrationally find comfort in doing so. This mostly happens in periods of intense stress when I'm basically desperate. Ni is on overdrive to appease Fi and so we may become deeply irrational. It is important to note that Ni is a subjective function, even though, ironically, INTJs take pride in being objective individuals; and so Ni mostly takes root in the individuals themselves, instead of external factors. So Ni can be deceiving, and it is a hard pill to swallow. This is, however, where Te comes in and parent Ni. Hence why a balance between all the functions is primordial.

@@greenchair_ i just havent seen a healthy entj in a long while and its more like an opinion. And the only one that dated an infp ik was really bad for her and fucked up her self esteem for a while. A lot of them try to control infps a lot but also treat them like they're dumb (again, from what i have seen... theoretically they are good tho so ik there are those good pairs out there). Intjs are a little more respectful.
