I disagree about your comment on Vini, specially in this match. He only tried something fancy when he had not other option to pass. That trick he used (the switch between right foot and left foot) worked very well to give the free pass to Fran Garcia, then to Arda Guler. His game usually relies on risking chances... that's what makes him great

@@derekmontalto5488 Rodrygo isn’t the issue. He works best in a duo (at Madrid) where a superior winger has more of the spotlight allowing Rodrygo to be a ‘shadow winger’ on the left side. Vini and Mbappe won’t work together unless 1 plays on the right which is unlikely because of their egos so having Rodrygo’s selfless playstyle to combine with a superior winger is better if only 2 of the 3 can play. Options are to drop Vini or Mbappe. Force Mbappe to the right and drop Rodrygo. Force Mbappe to play only as a striker and not drop anyone. In terms of the midfield control issue, Madrid can play more gegenpressing football in place of trying to control games if the front 3 start working.
