At least two lawyers on YT have explained why this is not a civil matter. TR said something about someone which HateNotHope objected to. They sued TR for libel (a civil wrong) and the court decided TR had lied (whatever the rest of us think) and ordered him not to do it again. TR allowed his film to be published, which the judge decided was "contempt of court" and sent him to jail. I'm not sure if contempt of court is technically a crime, but it certainly isn't a civil matter. It does not matter whether the contempt followed a civil proceeding or a criminal one, the contempt itself is an offence against the Crown.

Lots of people want what's right for the country, but disagree with TR. A political party can't just go around supporting every nutter who rants and raves about what's right for the country. They need to consider things carefully, consider the views of their membership and put their efforts into implementing the resulting policies in an effective way. If they chose to support TR just because he has lots of followers and it looked like a vote winner, people would quite rightly see that as cynical political manoeuvring. One of Reform's values, IMO, is integrity. They need avoid any suggestion of the duplicity of other parties. As RT said, we follow our own principles, not the principles of other parties - even though they may be similar.

I emailed the governor of HMP Woodhill and copied in the GM Mayor Andy Burnham Dear Nicola The transfer of Stephen Yaxley Lennon aka Tommy Robinson from HMP Belmarsh where he was in a secure unit to HMP Woodhill where we believe he will be put onto a punishment block or onto a wing. This will put his life in grave danger and his security threatened. I understand you have a very hard job to do and as Tommy Robinson is very high profile I am sure you are taking all measures to keep him safe. As the governor can you assure the concerned citizens of the UK that he will be safeguarded by yourself and your prison officers at all times. Tommy is a political activist and has shown to be a courageous and passionate family man trying to stand up for all our rights and our freedoms! He speak up about the major problems that we are facing in this Country and we are concerned as the MSM has portrayed him as racist and far right, which you can appreciate that within your prison tensions may be now running high due to the amount of Muslim inmates within your prison. We are both older folk Paul, as went to the Reform national rally at the NEC, we voted for Reform, we joined and we donated and encouraged others to do the same. We also bought two tickets to the Welsh Reform Rally on 8th November. I have written to Richard Tice, Zia Yusaf and Nigel about Richard’s “That Lot” comment about the Unite the Kingdom rally; No response! Reforms silence is deafening but speaks volumes about their views. So there will now definitely be two empty seats at that the Welsh Reform rally and we will show Reform they cannot insult their members and voters, fail to,address the issue and ignore their voters. Reform promised to do things differently, well this is not different it’s the exactly the same not listening to voters as Labour and the Conservatives. So much for common sense!

Earlier this year (2024) I then saw an interview with Tommy. Although Tommy could never be described as 'refined' he is intelligent and articulate and presentshs case extremely well.
