Well said. My wife is test driving a R1S today, it will be her first time driving an electric vehicle. If she likes it we’re going to lease one. I’m keeping an eye on Rivians stock after their November 7th call and if it dips a little more I’m going all in, I’m going to invest 100k and not look at the account for the next 5 years. After driving my neighbors R1S it made my 2022 Mercedes SUV feel like outdated old space junk. And don’t get me started on Tesla and their insanely ugly interiors. Can’t believe there no turn signal handles!!! I’ll check out some more of your future videos. Thanks

I think they might be doomed solely due to how horrible it is to do normally simple body repairs on them. Scout looks way better in that department. I had an R1T with a body repair and it was a horrible experience. Sold it as soon as I got it back (after 7 months in the shop) for minor rear quarter panel damage. I need a car/truck that can be repaired for a reasonable price without pulling teeth.

There are plenty of sales of ICE-vehicles at the same price-level or more than the R!S, the problem is charging and charging speeds. Yes, at home no problem, but when on the road, you know it takes 5 minutes or less to fuel up with liquid vs 20 minutes+ for electricity, it's a huge factor for the average person. People want fast and convenient.

Now if they would just get rid of the need for having a service station near by in order to deliver vehicles. They could easily create partner agreement and forego the need for building all those expensive service centers. Been waiting on my pre-order of an R1S for the past 4.5 years... I think Rivian needs to re evaluate this because they will start losing a whole lot of customers

Speaking only on design... Tesla cars, slick and sleek looking. Volvo Polestar - sleek looking. ionic 5. BMWs i4. They all look amazing. Then Rivian comes out with the most atrocious front end/headlight setup I've ever seen in my entire life. Like wtf. Whoever designed that, is the antithesis of Johnny Ive at Apple. I'm sure some like and love it. But omg, that front end is a human repellent. 4 out if 5 friends (that actually even know what Rivian is) thinks that the headlights are goofy af. And my one friend that does like the looks of it...is guy in the group that is known for not caring about looks. I'm just saying...lol Redesign that front end. For the love of god, please. I may be superficial, but it's just hideous. I mean, come on, paying 100K+ for a car that is hideous? No chance! If you're gonna splash, you have some taste, and want something that looks at least DECENT.

Which tells me you've never driven an EV. Nobody NEEDS a Ferrari but it's an iconic brand. Nobody NEEDS a Rivian but 0-60 in 3.0 seconds while being able to off road with Wranglers and Tacomas and haul like a Silverado or Ram is fkn fun!

Those are not just EVs as you said. They are EVs for RICH people. The EVs for normal people (where nobody gives a rat's ass about your 0 to 60 crap) is where the money is. Rivian, Lucid, and even Tesla are looming bankruptcy very soon for a very simple reason: They don't make actual money which is kinda a requirement for most businesses. They only attract investor because they pretend to by tech companies, but they don't sell tech, they sell cars. Those are 3 companies for idiots, selling card for idiots, managed by idiots. They are not the future of EV, they are already the past.
