We’re not sure, but Railroaders don’t take it lightly either. However our CEOs say we don’t contribute to their profits so it shouldn’t matter. I think most of us are fine with the contract, but our current work situation is not sustainable (I’m home for 10 hours, then left to rot in a hotel for 20-30 hours, can’t get a personal day approved and if you layoff, you’re brought up on attendance charges, and I could go on and on). We currently have 20 year guys on the verge of quitting because the current work situation is so bad… the only saving grace is that the job is great. I still love to get called on a train and get it somewhere, but not even I will stay with them if they don’t address the issues. That’s what we’re currently fighting for, some balance.

I haven’t heard that term… I just call them bypasses and we usually only use them in case of problems (or here, to make the trail more enjoyable for Sean as he still had bad memories from before, but his KL could do all the non-bypasses). How hard is it to rent a Jeep or capable 4WD and go exploring in Australia? I’d love to see your country and I have flight benefits. So a few of us are thinking of going there in Late April/Early May when I have vacation. We just started trying to figure this out so we might be behind on planning. Considering Africa too as I know I can rent an outfitted 4WD there. Anyway, thanks for watching and hope you visit Colorado… I wouldn’t worry about shipping tho. Instead of three going against the flow of traffic, we sent one with the plan to meet up at the bottom. Sean is very capable on his own, but he was never going to be left here on this trail alone. If you’re taking what I said in this video, it was in retrospect and what I meant is Sean would camp here while I tracked down a Trailhawk tire and brought it up to him. That’s in retrospect as I from this experience learned his tie rod couldn’t take being limped down. If referencing Jason going, he didn’t need to be here and would have stayed.
