earlier, it was indian bowlers who faced issues in SENA and now, it's indian batsmen. imagine a team having batting line up of early 2000s (sehwag, dravid, sachin, laxman, ganguly) and current bowling lineup (bumrah, akashdeep, jaddu and ash... nevermind)

Replace akashdeep with peak shami and you might have one of if not the best ever test team. Also add vk and lastly irfan/pandya who arent known for test but with this team i think they might bring the best balance. Sachin and Viru paji openning followed by dravid, vk, vvs and then dada with tailenders like jaddu and either of irfan or pandya. For pace and medium pace bowling you would have bumbum, zahir, shami and lastly irfan/pandya. Spin attack would be ashwin and jaddu while both sachin and sehwag could come for part time fun spells.

We should give someone new from the first class circuit a chance everytime we go to a SENA region, win or lose they will gain experience and opportunity that is otherwise reserved for only 4-5 guys. Test format is completely different these days and India has enough talent to field 2-3 separate teams for different formats, we just leave 15-25 year olds home for 35 year old "stars". If there is a capable 16 year old or bright 18 year old in this generation we'll never find out cus they'll never get a chance.

That is very true. We took matches since 2018(for both grounds) only because the way the format is played has changed drastically in the last couple of years. So it wouldn't have made sense to go back and see the "historical data". Of course 6 matches isn't a lot of data but it's something to work with. Helps to give us an "ideal scenario".
