WILL THIS BARN FIND VW CORRADO G60 EVER WORK AGAIN?

In the early part of last year I stumbled across a barn find VW Corrado G60 with a modified engine and some awesome tuning parts fitted that had been left in a barn down south ... unused and unloved and certainly in less than perfect condition.
The supercharged G60 is one of the rarest of the Corrado's and with a lot of period correct tuning parts on there I couldn't resist taking a punt and buying this sight unseen.
Skip forward a year and I haven't looked at or touched this car ... until now! SO welcome to Episode one of the VW Corrado G60 Barn Find!! Let's see if we can get this old beast running again and back on the road!

It was a lazy smokey day, sitting in my mates basement, when I just happened to notice a picture on the back of a magazine, I gazed in awe at the beauty of a little sleek black 2 door coupe, I vowed right then that one day it shall be mine, 30 years later, I'm on my 3rd G60! Best Cars Ever!

I have always been a fan of them. I have to decide exactly what direction to go with this car when he just get it running give it an MOT and get some of the body work done or should I do a more detailed project on it. The problem is these cars have not really gone up in value is much as you would like. That makes it hard to do bigger projects on them I guess

Don’t you just love the tube. Sitting in work on a night shift and I stumbled on this gem. I too had a dream of one of these, ended up with a scirocco GT2 in the mid 90’s. If I remember correctly, the ford puma hit the road which I had to have, which resulted in the corrado never happening. Liked & subscribed… looking forward to following this car, good luck.

I got a Corrado G60 '92, in October, 147m and it's running sweet!!! Refurbished the BBS alloys and saving up for a respray!!!

Nice man saw one at the dealers in 1998 i was 17 years old, Got my Corrado G60 in 2003 for 1,500 pounds 1992 J reg cross over mouth for bonnet 140mile hour car mint handling and the sound of a stainless pipe and G60 Charger mint Better than the bag and pops of today Muppits! Car is in Austraila now 4 wheel drive and a stroka AGN motor with the G60 bolt on the side. Best car in the world man

Definitely quite a lot to do do and I have to decide what direction to go go but obviously the first port of call is to get this thing running!

Be nice to see this run. Iirc there is a link from fuel pump to coil on these which is possibly the place it's been immobilised.

I might send it up to the SS at Sunderland to see if they can figure out what's going on with it. Auto electrics are my nemesis and this has been hacked about. Feel free to come have a go if you want haha!

Incidentally it does ... although I haven't progressed the project much for personal reasons the car now fires up and runs and sounds great I may add! The clutch needs resolving and it will be time for a first drive around the yard shortly.

I must admit I was always a fan of the MOMO Arrows. They suit the Corrado well too but I also think these look great on a set of splits.

Hi and thanks for your message. We had some family illness and my mum passed away in Feb this year and I haven't put a video out since. I still have the car and have been motivating myself to come back and start making some video's again so I would imagine I will have something shortly. I'm sorry I've been away so long.
