Wow congrats on the find! I bet you’ll do well on it. His work is at the MOMA. He was part of the Fauvism movement and I’m very excited for your auction! I wouldn’t be surprised if you get a bidding war. I’m an art history nerd but I doubt I would have spotted that book or even think it was worth anything considering the condition. You have a great eye and intuition 👍

I find books like this every time I go sourcing. If I don’t sell the book complete, I sell the lithographs. Art books as a rule are something to take a chance on.

Hmmm, tough call. I'm guessing one or two bidders, maybe a book dealer looking to buy low to sell to his contacts. I doubt it will go to war, after all, there are copies to buy on Abe's. You may see $1,000-$1,200. I don't think it will go to a US buyer. Then again, what do I know, lol!😄

Looks somewhat like a preprint amazing, I love old books and have a few I’m holding on, I moved and just getting back into things, Wshing the best for you. Dr Lori is an appraiser, LEGIT, she doesn’t compete with us, she’s honest and has a website, same name, and on KZbin, FACEBOOK, she can do an appraisal. It’s not real expensive, you can proly do it online just fyi
