Will this Free Craftsman LT4000 Riding Mower Run Again?

I found this free riding mower on Craigslist and decided to see if it will run again. I knew it was having problems with the steering gears and found out that it would creep backwards when in neutral.

I just had a guy give me one of these about a month ago. it had been sitting for at least 20 to 25 years. All I had to do was change the battery and the deck belt. started first try. plus it came with a snow blower attachment.

Add a 3/4" brass bushing where the shaft is wobbling.

I picked up a 88 craftsman 2 with 16hp twin oppy and 46 inch deck. I had to swap out my steering assembly also. Previous owner welded things together and it was just garbage

I would bet the bumper was an afterthought. I'm going to put it on a different lawn tractor.
