@@iNipzers they sure are we aren't getting enough consistent warmth. We got a couple nice days in the forecast but then rain and cold after that :/. Hopefully a week from now we'll have a nice week long stretch to get the bass really active.

You should try the swimbaits by Storm. I've caught tonnes of pike and walleye off the pike and perch baits. look great in the water.

You should fish the Merrimac river, I’m pretty sure we are from the same area and there are some really really really good fish in there, I recommend a Bucktail hair jig for smallmouth caught three the other day

I live here in souther Ontario, are bait fish is perch, every lake u go to it will have perch more populated then bluegill and any other type of panfish (maybe rockbass come in very close to first but I would still say perch over it) year round me and my dad (even ice fishing) use this one spoon and only this one spoon for big muskys but it called the bluefox perch spoon we use all different types of sizes from 1/16 to 1oz but it’s not just a esox magnet I’ve caught idk how many walleye on it idk how many big bass over 5 pounds (and you know how rare a bass over 5 in cold climates are compared to Cali or Florida bass) I’m tell you right now if u wanna catch fish and any type of fish I’ve caught panfish using the 1/16 the perch love eating themselves so why not match the hatch baby if perch love perch what doesn’t love perch even us humans go out are way in the freezing cold and go catch a bucket full of perch to munch on like come on match the hatch, I’ll forever be using my green and orange swim baits and worms idc what anyone says here in Canada if u have anything perch u will catch a fish, I’ve caught lake trout on them perch spoon u can’t beat it oh what about rainbows or brookies and browns yup all of them just slap on that 1/16 and walk a river all day and u will have 20 fish by the end of the day(now that could be because I live in souther Ontario and the fishing here is just to die for but hey I’ll keep catching my 10 pound trout and 50” muskys on my spoon all day
