Ahoy everyone!
My name is Nike and I have been living and sailing on my sailboat Karl since 2013. After a massive refit marathon, I finally cast off the lines and learnt to solo sail my 37-foot Reinke Super 10 that I called "Karl". I am publishing videos (at the moment every two weeks) about the ups and downs of living, repairing and sailing my boat.
Since January 2022, I have a new permanent crew member: my furry friend Boga. When I started out, I did not know much about boat repair or solo sailing. Since I am still out there, I hope that my story inspires others, to chase their dreams, even if they might think they are not cut out for it. There is always a way, so I'll see you out there!

Mexico has very pretty coastlines! Acapulco back in the 70’s was an absolute gem! Imagine it with 2/3 rds of the current population and construction. It was paradise. You had the main bay Icacos, Puerto Marquez, and el Revolcadero. El Revolcadero had only 2 hotels and that was it, plus the airport, that’s it!!!! I grew up going to Acapulco every break because my grandparents lived there, I miss that Acapulco!! The current one is horrendous 😢

I've mentioned before visiting Baja on my first navy cruise some 59 years ago. Now in my old age I compare photos I took back then to scenes on the internet and google earth to revisit those many places and understand more of where I've been. Studying these islands several years ago on google earth was really interesting and now to visit them with you is a real treat, what a beautiful region, thanks for your excellent efforts to bring us along.

My Sony camcorder FDR-AX53 has a night node and that uses this green light. It just broke and I sent it in and they did not have a replacement and it was not available on short notice and went with the FDR-AX43 and dang! I just noticed on our last night passage that it does not have it anymore. It's nice feature for filming during night passage. But hey, a red head lamp also works...;)

The three of you are great. Which got me thinking. About a new channel name. "Boniflo". That has a good vibes ring to it. But after a bit of googling it seems to be a brand for women's clothes on a Russian webshop. I doubt wether you could get sponsoring from them as well as you would not like them to. Bugger. A bit of information for you guys. The Isla that you are calling Jacques Custeau is called CERRALVO and its a very ancient sacred place for indigenous people. Please, use its correct name, not what is in your western maps to show some respect. Also, those cacti you saw are called SAGUAROS (in plural) by the locals and the indigenous people.

I have been enjoying your videos for years but as some feedback I really think you should get away from the 10 minute video I would like to see some more footage more than once a week and I think it would help your viewership 10 minutes is pretty short
