Good to have multiple power sources and charging options. I'd put a sink in, and have a small portable waste tank. Keep the cut out to make a top for the sink to keep the worktop space (Greg Virgoe has a good video on it) a permanent sink is very useful, I use mine for storing cups/kettle etc when travelling. I also have the folding sink, mine has a plug built in, great for taking washing up to the camp kitchen. I can recommend the Vango Sizzle 800w portable Induction hob - much quieter than the household portable ones, and has a nice long lead and a carry bag too - they do a single and a twin - I got the single and kept the Single gas cartridge burner as backup. I also have that little kettle - thanks for the recommendation - I love it, it has had heaps of use, works a treat. Looking forward to seeing Scotland, have good memories from caravan holidays there are a child.
@PackTheVanAndGo21 күн бұрын
I sill going for the no sink option for now, will see how I get on in Scotland, and doubt I will be getting an induction hob, just trying to keep junk and stuff I hardly use out of the van! But thank you for the recommendations!

@@PackTheVanAndGo Sounds like a good plan. Having an Airfryer makes a huge difference to what you can cook. We've noticed quite a few campsites now have them in the kitchens. Tempted to take mine with us when we go away next.

The rear door attachments with pouches containing the mobile man cave essence, is a product of your military service experience I'm guessing? I think that your finished van will be an awesome example and showpiece at a vanlife gathering event. This project has been an adventure in itself with remarkable results and your good to go now. 👍
@PackTheVanAndGo26 күн бұрын
I go the molle boards off work (Mule) and the pouches are similar to what we had in the forces, so a combination of all that makes a great man cave 👍👍 The van is slowly getting to where I want it and still have more to do, but less than I did last week for sure! Hope you're well?

Hi Rob , recently new follower , great upgrades and setup . Was wondering why you need the dc to dc. Unit for your power bank.? Do you have 2 different voltage systems .?
@PackTheVanAndGo26 күн бұрын
hi mate, my whole system, is 12v, I could charge from an inverter, but id have to drive with the inverter charging and the power bank plugged in.... this way, I can have the power bank into my electrical system and charge better and more efficient!

Always like electric options, Great vid! Fitted a fogstar as well but the 300amp. plus a Victron upgrade to the 50amp. Trying to work out if i should keep my two 100amp lifepo4 i have spare now and somehow use them to top up a power bank with them in series to 24v then also have a 12v to 24v Converter. Which converter did you get from GJ? thought they had around 500w mark into a power bank? You given me more food for thought ,as i was planning straight to vehicle battery but maybe nearer to where the 50amp B2B is.
@PackTheVanAndGo26 күн бұрын
The converter I got was the 12-24 30amp version mate! The power bank I've got can only take so much, but the bigger power banks can take more power for charging, but im still happy with the power ratio it charges for me!

Hi mate, the powerbank is the Allpowers R1500 there is a link in the description and it’s the DC to DC 12-24 30amp converter, link in description for all the items 👍

Hello there. I have just discovered your channel your van looks amazing well done. I have been watching your adventures in Scotland from last year, for inspiration as me and my family are heading North for a week during New Year. A quick question i noticed the thermal cover at the rear of your van it looks great for winter conditions where did you get it from?
@PackTheVanAndGo26 күн бұрын
Hi mate, hope the trip north goes well and you manage to find some inspiration from the videos! As for the rear door screen, here’s the contact: webbnetflyscreens.com/

If you followed the channel you’d know there is a dog called Archie, that’s why I reference we instead of me! And anything to do with my van is getting the van ready for winter, especially cameras for extra security.
