Love the abandon system idea for hidden space stations, maybe using a new ship part that we have to quest for? Also, would love a chance to replay old expeditions, maybe with limited time frames for each?

I came back to the game a little over a month ago now, so I wasn't at all aware of the existence of these new space stations. So my opinion is: DAAAAAAAAAAMN THEY LOOK SO DOPE OMFG!!!!!!! Aside from that, my personal wish would be more freedom for base building. I am talking in particular about the limit of 3000 pieces per base to be uploadable. I'm trying to create a base quite massive rn but this ceilling is bugging me :S

My wild guess for the update: players will be able to claim 1 spacestation per save and build inside and outside as well of it.

i am not saying is not possible, but from a design standpoint i do not think that could ever be the case. Not only you have freighters being basically personal space stations already but owning a space station should offer you something that a stationary base in a planet or your mobile freighter wouldn't have, and other than tech vendors, stations aren't really special.

More of a wishlist - I think is time for the game to move to full colonization! 1. The ability to recruit any NPC for your base, settlement or freighter crew 2. Ability to fly frigates (coolest ships in the game) and carry a reg ship and an exocraft. Have a basic crew for maintenance and planet incursion. 3.settle trade routes between your farm bases, reg bases and space stations. Prices also consider your rep with system and race. The ability to send frigates to pick up materials on you own bases. Dish the settlement system and allow players to convert a base in to a settlement > city

It would be really cool to have a frigate overhaul update, I want to ride aboard one while it goes on missions and man the turrets and take off from the frigate in atmosphere to take care of business, then land back on before they go to hyperspace, there is a lot of cool stuff they could do with the frigates and they really need an update, the doors don’t even work lol

I'm pretty sure the Space Stations is going to tie into that weird terminal they have at the back of stations that we finally got to interact with it but it still, currently does nothing. It's been a rather long time since they let us finally "talk" to that terminal. I hope they don't use that empty systems thing mostly due to that being too easy since they're super common even in lush galaxies which would make things way too easy and Hello Games has made it pretty clear over and over ship customization won't be added for a number of reasons. I have to agree with not letting us do it, but maybe giving us a SHIP TYPE that we can like the staff multi tool, and doing it properly since Living Ships were touted as having the option for that but we can't really do that. The multitool feels like a test to see if/how well they could implement it for a ship type.

I reckon if *you reckon* I'll add though that the freighter ship bays with the yellow platforms over the ship bay that was added some time ago with the beam me up cubicles in that bay area -- have controls if you climb the contraption it has a ladder on it. Controls currently don't work but are there also if you look around once you're up there, there is a part grabber like something to put heavy parts into place. Because it's in the ship bay it's kind of a dead giveaway that maybe they have been working on some kind of ship customization for some time. This was well before the interceptor update I think. I also think the update space stations could also serve as a link to to void in some fashio, not to mention that I think these could be added rather than take away from what we have now. Something to push exploration further? Ship customization may be more of a necessity rather than a feature. Meaning it may serve another purpose like trying to escape the void in some fashion?

I am always reluctant to speculate about customisation. But I have shared similar thoughts about an Autophage ship over on Reddit. If they used one, or a number of unique chassis or cockpits that we used as a core, we would potentially be able to add other parts from existing ships without replicating existing ships.

Aside to some bug fixes, I'm hoping for some tweaks to cosmetics. Things like being able to change the cockpit layout or change the color scheme of my starships. I'd also love it if all my ship engines had trails and not just the center one. (I know there's mods for that on PC but I'm a console player). Would love more color pallets for base parts as well as the ability to resize more parts without using glitches.

I want to complete overhaul of the procedural generation of the planets. More terrain types, biomes, rivers, waterfalls, deeper cave, systems, and so much- and more extreme planets.. and more planet types. . Gas giants and also more realism to space in general. Stuff that would actually happen in the universe. We need far more heterogeneity and diversity in the fauna and flora too. And more base building parts! 😊

nice one beebs i hade same idea mayby u need to own the b type station before u can customise the autophase ship like the staff un to find the camp first here is where the space station overide key could be used to own the station before u can make the ship it makes sense 👍

I don't think we are getting a new expedition..... To me it makes sense to add a new smaller content update and then an expedition replay in mid November. They can always make the replays last longer ( 3 weeks instead of the normal 2 weeks... )

I'm just looking forward to part 4 of this story line. I'm also hoping for a Redux. Just started on PC and love the Utopia expedition and Flyer. We've gotten a lot this year: New ship, New race, new weapons, and more lore. Hoping they tie it all in together.

I just want to play my PS4 saves on my PS5 (all six of them)... but I've harped on enough about how the tool they provide in-game to do this is broken (for those with >4 save slots in use), and HG don't seem interested in fixing it. Far sexier things to devote their time to I guess. SO... my vote is for us to actually CLAIM an entire starsystem to ourselves! There are quadrillions per galaxy - enough for every person on Earth to own 1000 systems and still use

2023 has been great but the thing with updates this year is that most of them didn't feel like new content however good it has been for the game's performance; it doesn't help this last expedition felt like a chore list with no connection to the new content added by Echoes. I don't mind small meaningful additions and game improvements but i think we all got burned out by console dedicated updates.
