Great clip, Stephane! Looking at you, as I'm trying to make my own speech in my clips lately, I definitely have to try speak more with my 🎤 and maybe in front of my camera too. Great clip Stephane! 👍 Very funy mind blowing move 🙆 haha. I knew we are survivors! ✌️

Yeah, it's really hard to speak in front of a camera. I still struggle a lot, but every now and then, things come out more naturally. I think you should try more, it sounds good! Thanks for your comment and for watching.

I just turned into 67 years old,(women) did mostly long hikes with heavy backpacks , so overall in good condition. Started running half a year ago, and still increase my (limited:) speed. But i have trained upp the amazing v02 max from 37 ( so in some way 20 years younger :) Ill go for a half marathon in June. Thanks for all the clear , helpfull video's to increase stride (a bit) and strengen some important ankle muscle and so one, like your humoristic style too!👌👏

Great video, Stephane 👍🏻 You know how to keep us old folks motivated! 😄 I'm expecting to peak at some point in my 50s. I'm enjoying regular strength work and stretching at the moment and feel much better for it. Hopefully it lasts. Avoiding further injuries is a good motivator 👍🏻🏃♂️

Stephane, I would love to see more strength-specific exercises! A very interesting video. I've been running since I was a teenager, a lot of years! I don't think I'll ever get my 5K under 20 minutes, but wouldn't that be cool if I could. Strength training for me has become somewhat of a routine. I notice when I slack I feel something coming on.
@SafeMotions3 жыл бұрын
Hey Gill, thanks so much for your feedback. I've got a few stretches coming up first, then self-testing for which muscles to strengthen then once we've settled those, I'll dive in to specific exercises and how to program them to keep on improving 🙂👍 Hope these will help...

Great to know that I've a few decades of PB's as an older starter 😂 Gives me hope. Brilliant and informative video. I hate that I know that I need to strength and stretch and yet find it hard to motivate myself to do! That'll change when I start my half marathon change in a couple of weeks :) I definitely need to optimise my stride length. I'm a shuffler! I"m a survivor!

A lot of great information bro, thanks! Speaking of getting older, I've accepted the fact that I won't be able to make qualifying time for Boston in my early 30's. Perhaps, that's something to look forward to in my 40's. By the way I added you on STRAVA, you were a hard man to find! LOL. Thanks again for this super informative video... I am looking forward to getting old. HAHAHA.

Haha, yes: great objective to qualify for Boston in our 40s!!! Ah, welcome to my most boring social media after youtube: Strava 😂 where sometimes I remember to upload, or my watch synchronizes, not sure... My resolution for 2022 is to be more consistent with it! Good to have you there!!!

Sorry that you got stuck in your hotel room Steph. Great video and information. Static stretch hater here, lol. Sounds like it's all downhill for runners, my solution buy bikes! ;) Happy New Year btw!
@SafeMotions3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Sage. I actually enjoyed the hotel 😂. Haha, I know you're a static stretch hater 😁. But what matters is that with proper training, aging runners will compensate for some shortcomings. Far from going downhill. And cycling can actually be a great way to maintain leg power for runners!!! Wait, weren't you trying to get mountain bikers to trail run? 🤔 Double agent? Lol. Happy New Year to you too!!!
