They may survive the dust but won't survive a small drop on concrete even in a good case. I dropped mine 1 time from about 3 feet while being in a case and from then on the bottom half glitched green randomly if the brightness was over 30 percent. Samsung won't fix them under warranty if they have been dropped and most shops won't touch them. I will never buy another flip phone. Possibly a fold because they aren't made nearly as cheaply but even then, they will have to make the outer screen wider so that the keyboard is useable
