I was completely blown away by how quality theone Falcon is. Mine came perfectly tuned, and the weight, sound, and flippyness were insane for the price. I hear theone's alien is even better but I absolutely hate the way it looks haha.

For the falcon, you could always put a small piece of tape on the safe or bite handle to differentiate.

You probably shouldn't have to do that, though. However, they do have mismatch handles for the trainer and live blade. The trainer is still MUCH better, though.

Got The One Falcon trainer a couple weeks ago and I like it. It doesn’t have tap and is way fun to flip. I own higher end knives and still find myself picking it up. It makes a great beater for relatively inexpensive.

Theone arrow is the best trainer and it is a theone original design and only $25! Aluminum channel construction. Runs on bushings! I had mine for a couple yrs. , but I cut out the center piece because it was a tiny bit blade heavy.

I just got theone falcon in blue I'd say it's pretty good for the money my view on the clones are that yea it's probably not good but if it gets you into an alpha beast a year down the line and you love flipping that's a win in my book

That is why they put the latches on the knives. So you can tell which is the Sharp side, that is one of the reasons for the latch.

I have all 3 of those myself. Definitely agree with your assessments. The Falcon is good. The second one (forgot the name) takes a LONG time and A LOT of oil to really break in and start to feel decent to flip. The CYOZ is only good for one thing... effortless uncontrollable fans. Haha. But the handles are definitely way too light to do much else.

Here in China, we buy Krake Raken clones made by armed shark/Baliplus for less than 30 bucks. Definitely good value, it's surprising how much they improved during the last 2 years, night and day difference.

I’m very surprised the g10 one didn’t fare better in your opinions. Mine came perfectly tuned, and has become one of my “daily three” rotation. I almost always carry a light G10 flipper, a heavier G10 one, and an aluminum channel flipper, just to practice on a variety, and that lighter G10 handled one I find myself loving. The Falcon is good, yes, but I like that other one from TheOne as much, if not more. I’m only a few months into flipping, though, so inexperience may be a factor. Great vid, though, AS ALWAYS!

Not all CCCs are clones man the cyoz can easily be a clone of the glidr sahara trainer too. And Yess they do have tap but u can easily fix that if two of your 4 bushing are oversized so u can tune it to no tap.

how are your early thoughts on the Firefly? I have one coming in a couple hours and I just want some basic thoughts on what to expect.

I personally like it quite a bit! The very chunky handles are certainly something to get used to, and probably a turn off for a lot of people, but it's well made and fairly priced. I had an issue with the tang cups digging into the finger during chaplins, but they listed to that feedback and changed their machining process so that won't happen with newly machined knives. I would recommend it!

Would love to see a video covering some of the more egregious clones on Aliexpress - especially the clones of rare/discontinued knives like the popular 4X series. Sadly for most people, getting a real one of these rare/discontinued knives is either impossible or prohibitively expensive, and they'll end up with clones instead.
