I bought my first balisong (Nabalis Lightning) like a week ago and I do not regret it in the slightest. Flipping has literally enhanced my attention span because it has ended my multitasking drastically. Thanks to Will Hirsch and Blade Bias I will never have more than 50 bucks in my wallet.

@@TheBl4ckH4nd Probably wouldn't recommend it. The Nabalis is a good cheap first option and I'm glad I bought it, but it also has pretty bad play and tap. I have to retighten the screws every couple of minutes (even with loctite) and then it works perfectly, but I wouldn't consider it an upgrade to what you have, probably about the same. I do like the weight and grip, but it definitely takes constant maintenance.

I would definitely recommend getting the BM 51 clone. I’ve modded mine by removing the latch and pocket clip, thread locked all the screws and lubed the bearings. It flips amazingly now. Very nice

@@Zaki-hr3ol Will Hirsch done another video where he modded a small orange balisong off of Amazon. I also recommend that one too. I’ve had mine since Christmas and it’s not changed at all. I just used mostly the same mods he gave in that video.

I might consider just getting that bm51 clone simply cause it has some great ding sounds for something no more than 25 usd. I can confirm the Nabalis is a great “no bs” flipper if you plan to have something to flip temporarily. Out the box it was a beast and even after 50+ hard surface drops, you can just tighten down the pivots to reduce the handle play even before you touch the additional hardware it came with. (Still havent changed it out but plan to do so soon)

The blue one is actually my first and only balisong I own and I’ve had it for around 2 years now. For me it is really good and the latch issue is to just push down on the screw while you unscrew it.

Very cool video, i remember when i started flipping there was only crappy 43 clones made out of stainless with terrible hardware, the back of the blade was so sharp it hurted more than a live blade.
