Rykov G Doublethink is when the whole process is taken one step further: WIlling and able self-deception. When external propaganda has been repeated often enough and from diverse enough sources, the individual begins, in his own mind, to make excuses for those in power and justify their actions. Does the First Amendment need to be abolished to achieve his goals? I consider this statement to be a perfect example of doublespeak. His statement is deliberately ambiguous to the point where we don't know where he stands on free speech. How ironic that an opponent of doublespeak uses it himself. This video is hilarious. Who is the arbiter of doublespeak and who employs this arbiter? Does the arbiter work for the President? This whole idea of suppressing free speech by a government arbiter sounds a lot like what Germany did just before WW2 started. He didn't say we shouldn't elect people who use doublespeak, he said we shouldn't allow it. Big difference.
