Huh! I'm usually pretty good at making voice associations but was completely caught off guard when you identified a likeness to Gordon Lightfoot. I can't hear it, Stuart, but it must be so because someone else thought the same as yourself! Both great songsmiths. I find WP to have a warmer and huskier depth in his tone than the iconic GL. Now I'm going to have to go and listen to some LIghtfoot to see if I pick up the similarities :)

I was in my car listening to CBC Radio and there was a segment featuring William Prince. Now as embarrassing as it seems I had never heard of him but listening to his interview was very intriguing. Why had a I not heard of him? And then the following week the Juno's and there he was again! Singing this song "The Spark" with Serena Ryder and the performance was so beautiful. Their voices were beautiful. I've since been reading comments under a lot of different William Prince's performances uploaded to KZbin. He has been compared to Leonard Cohen and Gordie Lightfoot. I do hear that too; especially Leonard Cohen; something about the lyrics and his melodious voice so hauntingly beautiful. Hope to see him live someday; after Covid.
