I really enjoy your videos. They are clear, and easy to follow along. I start with history box as I’m trying to learn about the English monarch. I love your explanation on why he was so important

At William’s funeral, his servants stole his valuables, the church caught fire and his body EXPLODED!
This was very interesting and informative! I just came across your channel, and I learned some things about William the conqueror I hadn't known before. I had wanted to be a history teacher and I'm a history nut, I know I will enjoy this channel! 😊

The part about the English language isn't entirely accurate. While the English vocabulary became predominantly Romance/Latin, the radical grammatical and phonological changes were mostly organic and not spurred on by French or Latin. They are comparable to changes in other Germanic languages like Frisian, Dutch, Swedish, etc., which also differ significantly from their ancient origins. Many of them underwent many of the same changes, like the loss of most grammatical cases and genders.
