It depends on what for. It's highly individual in how people tolerate loads for their low back pain and is also dependent on which structures are involved in the diagnosis. This Williams series can be good for those with extension intolerance (or flexion bias) in a lumbar disc herniation and at the same time be bad for those with a flexion intolerance (and extension bias) for the very same diagnosis. People react differently with a similar diagnosis. As he'd mentioned you have to let your history and exam determine the therapeutic treatment.
