Every so often on YT one feels every presentation that's worth watching has been watched. Then comes along an absolute gem like this. Absolutely outstanding work. That clutch would have been enough of a struggle under a ramp, in a well lit workshop. I do all my car repairs outside these days, so appreciate the difficulty - but a clutch on the driveway -simply superb. I wish you all the success as clearly you deserve it. No doubt you'll adapt to EV somehow but in the meantime thank you for the brilliant hour or so of absorbing viewing.

Another great video Kev. I'm interested to know if you get many jobs where something breaks whilst being removed and you can't get a replacement part for a day or two, effectively leaving the car in bits until the new part arrives. Certainly happens to me more times than I can remember over the years.

Awesome work Kevin appreciate the videos. just one thing keeps bugging me, on most cars specially VW there's a lot of one time stretch bolts that must be replaced every time you loosen them, do you torque and replace those bolts ??? like the axle bolts they need to be torqued at like 200nm and 180° turn for VW. or some bushings should to be torqued under load to avoid premature destruction of the bushings. But on most videos I saw, I only saw you torque the wheels, and on the rest I see you tightening the bolts with the Impact gun or electrical ratchet. do you torque those bolts ? if so how do you apply 200nm + on an axle if the front of the car is on the air ?? Thanks a lot

as always kevin great content some look easier that most but got to remind you you are on your own no one there to help when you drain do you fill with fresh gearbox oil
@WMCS2 жыл бұрын
You’re absolutely right mate .. some gearbox set up takes a little bit more patience than others. But I price them accordingly and give them the right amount of time … I always use fresh lube .. some gearbox requires mineral and that’s why they don’t look clear like the synthetic.. they are dark brown in colour and thicker in consistency…

Perfect timing it's been 3 and a half weeks still waiting for a clutch replacement on a Renault traffic 16 model. Clutch pedal kept sticking half way. 1. mechanic changed master worked fine for 2 days. 2. Clutch creeking then eventually fell to the floor. 3. slave needed replacement. That didn't work. 4. whole clutch change. 4 weeks later I will have my van back. 😡😡
