My family stopped watching as much once he began sort of forcing himself out on excursions instead of just hanging out and showing what his day to day life was like. Always figured he'd return to Mexico long term as he seemed happiest and most in the moment there. Good luck William!

William I was in Cancun in 1973…one hotel, some condos and a couple of restaurants. Boy oh boy how it has changed. Love your videos…keep up the good work.

@@williamtaudien the water was incredible. I landed in Cancun airport checked into my hotel went out to my room patio with a hammock climbed in it and fell asleep. Woke up in morning so refreshed…I still remember this 50 years later! Powerful place.

I ve been there two times and my goal would be spending my time visiting a lot of different places.. but I always feel like going back there... no place had his effect on me, even many beautiful places like Arraial do Cabo in Brasil or Riley Beach or Chiang Mai in Thailand...

Peurto morales was a very nice town I visited-It was small and there were so many Americans that lived there. I loved the beaches-the snorkeling was just amazing and easy. It just seemed so easy and simple. There was no creepy dance instructor there-so I guess it may seem boring? Sometimes simple is better.

For me one of the more interesting aspects of your travel is how spontaneous your planning appears to be. I'm such an obsessive planner that I usually have all the details ironed out and booked 4-6 month in advance. In fact I think that might be an interesting thing to add to your videos - the lodging search and booking process, how you select a place to stay, etc. Anyway, enjoy the new apartment.

Nice to see pdc again. PDC shows us that we can build cool towns. It doesn't take much. Have low buildings, with apartments, walkable grid pattern streets, and mix retail and apartments, with some nice gathering spots, and voila, you have a good town. It does not have to be expensive. America should learn how to do this.

Great to see you back in Mexico. Have you considered trying Puerto Morellos, it is less expensive than Playa del Carmen. Have you thought about going to Belize for a short visit when your 180 days up then back to Mexico. Keep the videos coming. Can not wait to see the next one.

Great video!! We were in PDC en route to Cozumel two weeks ago and had a great time. We took a day in PDC and explored a cenote park. We’re 68 and 67 and love Mexico! We also lived in Stockholm in 2003 for three months. Great people, great place.

I understand being nervous about staying somewhere for six months, it does seem like a long commitment. The area is so nice though and we re leaving tourist season! I live just north of you in puerto morelos, maybe our paths will cross and I can give you a high five after watching your fun travel videos the last year! Wow that cenote is beautiful! What an amazing house to have so much land AND a private cenote onsite! Good find! Places like that are getting harder to find even if you had the unlimited funds to spend on a home.

Oh Brother! Nice to see you back. You made me chuckle a bit at the bus station with all of your experience as I noticed the bus lanes are numbered, similar to gates at airports, no matter as it worked out. Really cool of our friend to put you up for the night. And the kabob dish locked spectacular. Before you left Cancun, 2 beers and then a final Heineken on the beach so yes, perhaps a bit tipsy as Heineken was my go to beer in Las Vegas many years ago and why not as it was free playing blackjack. Good deals on the Vegas strip and downtown, no longer good as they charge for everything but outside of town, still good deals. Love the cenotes and you met some cool people, a must do for me and the GF in the future. Good to know you'll be there 6 months mas o menos as the GF definitely needs a vacation. Your vid on Huatulco appealed to me but she has an opinion where to go of course! Bien venidos a Playa de Carmen otra vez!

Adorable-so handsome-I am a blonde hair blue eyed mom with boys that were born looking like how you do-but they ended up with dark blonde hair-still handsome. You remind me of my boys I took my oldest to Cancun 5 years ago and my youngest 13 years ago (he passed 3 years ago). Life kinda sucks for me-but loved taking my boys to such an amazing place. I have been to Cancun at least 8 times. Love that place! Keep posting- People are so friendly and I just love the Mexican vibe.
