Agreed. I am not a voice admin guy (IT and network, yes-for years), and I deployed Grandstream pbx systems solely using your videos as tutorials. Thanks so very much.

Willie set up a UCM6302 system with a half of dozen phones for my small business almost 2 years ago and it has been amazing. The device has been running flawlessly and hiring Willie to set everything up was worth every penny of his very reasonable fee! ❤

UCM6302A is one of the best bits of kit we have ever purchased - thanks to you Willie. We have extensions throughout our main site & a great situation where we can also communicate (voice, video & message) with our cruise boats on the Loch Katrine via Wave & Starlink. On the back of this we have just started a full site network upgrade to GS switching & AP products. Godda luv Grandstream

We deployed ucm6304 with 90 GRP26XX and at the first time we had latency issue and after updating lates firmware everything works great.

Thanks for this Willie. I got my PBX start years ago setting up FreePBX when I was teaching IT classes. The interface on the Grandstream is a thing of art in comparison. I'm going to have to get my hands on some Grandstream equipment (hopefully before the end of the year).

I've used a UCM6202 at home for several years to troubleshoot the Cisco call manager I support at work against (the Grandstream ALWAYS works!). Just got my new UCM6302 today, gonna see how a migration from 6202 to 6302 goes. I worked on Nortels since the early 80's before moving to Cisco and these Grandstreams can do just about anything the others can. I love 'em!

Great info for an onsite pbx. With remote workers I have found it best to deploy 3CX cloud based phone systems. Super easy and zero downtime.

I just ripped out and replaced an old Mitel system and replaced with a UCM6301, and GXW4248 units for the room phones fully up and running with VOIP lines in less than 2 days

Hi Willie from Canada - Thanks to your excellent tutorial videos, I was able to set up UCM6204 for our office 3 years ago, now i see it is obsolete and need to be upgraded to UCM6304, will the backed up setup from the UCM6204 work on UCM6304 or needs complete new setup. Are the setup steps different from 6204 series? Thanks in advance for your help.

If you use your free 30 day demo of Remote connect you can upload the config and there's a conversion tool that will convert it for you automagically.

I’m a certified PBX tech, have always used onsite systems. Just recently been asked to find a cloud service for a client. They currently have 3CX on site, (3CX is huge in NZ). I have played a bit with 3CX, also Yeastar which I downloaded this week and it just went with not much effort. Even though I love GWN network products, I have shied away from GDS as early on (Early 2010’s) I had friends who had lots of issues with it. Has it evolved to a level like the 3CX and Yeastar and is the cloud version robust enough to support soft phones on mobile devices and desktops, sorry about the rambling!

Hi Willie, We have Nextiva at the moment and we only need say 100 lines. How would Grandstream compare to Nextiva for an enterprise with 12 locations. All in Socal.

Willie, we are running 3cx and with the last update of their platform, we've experienced some issues with having to deploy a split DNS, however my question for you would be we are paying over 1k fro 24 simultanious calls, what is GS' license cost for about that many sim calls?

None, HW pbx have static amount of calls depending on model (75(50srtp) for smallest PBX 6301). All in startup price. Unless you go Cloud solution.

I’d be interested to see how well it interacts with a variety of ATAs and other voip phones. The good part of FreePBX is its ability to handle a variety of hardware. The bad part is the frustratingly non intuitive UI. We’ve been using ClearlyIP devices for quite a few campuses we manage, but the barrier is always the UI for the client. We want them to have the ability to manage their own system if possible. Unifi is a good option for some, but we have a very large contingent of churches and non profits. They can’t afford to buy new hardware just for the UI. I’ll be curious to see the GrandStream setup to see how it compares.

@@WillieHowe but does it have templates to provision non-Grandstream devices? I get if you buy this you're probably using GS phones, but one benefit of FreePBX is the EPM module that you can use most major brands with full config profiles.

Willie, white point balance for screen capture is off... your camera is overexposed. Though I would report it since it's 3rd or 4th video it's like this.
