Mr. Vance, I know I speak for many of model railroader when I say another one of your excellent videos was watched through tears of joy and sadness. Thank you for your dedication to sharing your work of art with us. As the last freight heads towards Spokane, may you continue to have high greens in you next life's journey. A humble thank you from all the fans of your rails!🥲👍

Another great video Dad! I love the detailed coverage of all the motive power, layout shots, along with the MinPin Spirit "party car". Great job as always!!

@@Vigment13 I'm also a NMRA member but out of the Little Rock Division. I helped convince him to work towards being a MMR as I am doing the same. He is very talented for sure.

I'm not going to lie I wish there was a way we could save the entire railroad or there was a model club it would take the whole thing it's one of the best model railroads I've ever seen and some of the best model videos I've ever seen too I think a lot of clubs could learn from your videoing cuz you actually get to see what's on the model not just trains running

Thanks for the great feedback! And I'm glad you especially enjoy my approach to the videos. I've worked hard to come up with an approach to effectively highlight the Willow Creek without boring viewers with unnecessary "stuff." Sometimes it's a real balancing act. Hope I succeed in most instances. Thanks, again, for your feedback. Much appreciated!

@@Vigment13 I want to piggyback on this for operation videos. Most other videos aren't engaging, and a few even put me half asleep. You've done well with narrating and editing your operations in a very distinctive way!

There is a slight mistake upon the wheel arrangement for the "2-8-0" Mikados. They were 2-8-2 at least in the video
@Vigment13 Жыл бұрын
Ha. I see that you were paying attention! When I wrote up my script, I made that same mistake with the "4-8-0" Mountain, but I caught it before recording. Unfortunately, my script read "2-8-0" for the Mikados and I didn't catch that one before recording the narratives. Oops. Thanks for pointing out the error. Guess we'll just chalk that one up as another example where everything isn't perfect on the Willow Creek. 🙂 Thanks, again!

@@Vigment13 it would have been nice to see the mountain pull a passenger train, but I can't complain

The Alco RSC somehow looks very similar to the Russian heavy switcher TEM-1, they probably copied the actual RS series locos sent to them by the US.
@Vigment13 Жыл бұрын
Very interesting. And you hit it on the head! I've never looked at Russian locomotives, so I did a quick search of Wikipedia and they say that the TEM-1 was indeed a "descendent" of the Alco RS-1 design. The RS-1 was evidently imported to Russia during WWII as part of the "Lend-Lease" agreement. Good observation! And I learned something new today. Thanks!

@@Vigment13 Thank you for the kind reply sir. I am modelling the railway system of Eastern block countries (more like, just the Soviet Union and East Germany) so I kinda have a gut feeling for whenever a train "looks Russian".
