Check out willow's tiny desk, this is the first song they play. Im willing to bet that Mohini Dey's playing is what inspired julia to pick up this song as she follows some of the ideas haha

Almost 40 years playing drums and she always adds something to the percussion side that is fresh and fluid. Her playing is inspirational to so many musicians. Wouldn’t you agree?

Kudos to Julia for choosing a piece of music that features one of the great, young bassists in the world, Mohini Dey. Aim for the Stars!
@numerical_error7 ай бұрын
There's a music piece called "Day by Dey" that she plays with Gergo Borlai. The video is 8 years old now, but still present on his channel. It was the first video of her that I've seen and I still can't believe it's 1x speed. It's like the scene from the Matrix: "Take a look at that neurokinetics they're way above normal". 🤯

That chorus is sick but the fills/runs in the bridge are insane. I just learned about this band and I love their vibe and their tiny desk concert was amazing.

Nah Willow is clearly a studio artist. Her live voice is totally off key.

@braveheart9097 kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZm9coealNp-qJo Like I said, I'm new to her music, so maybe she's had terrible live shows but... her vocal talent/range is indisputably displayed in the Tiny Desk concert. Maybe its just not for you.
@braveheart90978 ай бұрын
@@King_Mephisto I'm a vocal coach. I saw the same Tiny Desk performance you did and it I thought it was clear that she is a studio artist only. She cannot hit certain notes properly without the help of ProTools. Share that video with any other vocal coach and see what he/she says about her "vocal talent/range" being "undisputed....

Hi Julia, I was listening randomly to your numbers since the songs with your base lines are just better songs than the originals and as you play the same kind of songs as we play in our band. But then I heard Symptom of life. This number has been for 2 weeks on repeat. And as written by many others: it sounds great with your bass line. I can not hear the song without your line. It’s not complete without the extra fills.
