hey im proud of you for wanting to be healthy but unless you need to avoid some foods for health reasons, very strict diests often dont go long. if you fail one time dont blame yourself please, just adjust your diet. if you cant see yourself doing the same diet in future its a good sign your diet is too strict. often times counting calories and being aware of the contents of what youre eating (+ avoiding junk food switching for healthy alternatives) is enough. you can use apps for that. sorry if this seems out of nowhere or i assumed that you didnt know these, i just felt like saying these because back then i used to do really strict diets and everytime i "failed" id blame myself and go back to unhealthy lifestyle thinking i cannot be helped. none is true of course. take care

As a type one diabetic, this video makes me sick to my stomach just watching it. Don't ever take this kind of food for granted. Because if you ever become diabetic, you'll pay dearly for eating like this.

Not diabetic but I made a lifestyle change almost 4 yrs ago. No delivery were I live. I haven't eaten anything he ate in almost 4 years. I don't miss any of what I could eat. It tastes like chemicals. Just not interested in that junk. I make almost everything I eat from scratch. I'm deathly allergic to peanuts and allergic to most nuts. I don't drink soda. I definitely agree that sedentary lifestyle with horrible diet does a number on people's mental health, from heavy mood swings to depressive states. Lived something similar to this experiemnt for years until a good friend of mine asked me if I wanna try going to the gym with her and it clicked with me, from there started training on my own, changed my diet and lifestyle, been sticking with it for the last ten years, it's really just about trying to change things bit by bit for the better and eventually it'll lead to more active, longer and all-around brighter life.

Lowkey will’s videos are so comforting to me. As someone who is healing with their relationship with food and who had a ed back in 2022, will has this vibe of having fun and being positive while teaching about health and fitness instead of being one of those stuck up mean uneducated “gym bros”. Just makes me feel comfortable

The stark contrast between his regular life/videos and this gave me a new perspective on what it looks like to have bad habits ruin your life. Now I know that even if Will can get lazy after epic gaming/binging junk food, it all comes down to your enviroment and not so much to resolve. But I also think that having one of these days is f*cking fun, so I guess moderation is key here, otherwise you burnout from being "too healthy/productive" lol.

no majority of people think that lol. It is a minority of activists who have their voices amplified for outrage clicks. There is a valid point however about fighting body shaming which especially applies to overweight people. We should pressure out governments to create healthy policies that make correct choices easier (ie a sugar tax) instead of blaming individuals
@Bdbdb736 Жыл бұрын

@@Bdbdb736 You’re half right, in the end you might have been correctly educated, but most people simply aren’t, and sure, it is possible for they to do something abt it, but honestly it seems unlikely, if people were better educated, children taught these things in both theory and practise a lot of people would lead better lives. If a friend asks for advice I would give it in a individual level, but if we’re talking more generally, it is the government’s job to improve people’s quality of life and health, both need to do their part

I’ve been off my healthy diet for about a month now and just been eating anything I want, mostly junk, and I can’t wait to get back into my old diet and routine. Junk food is good once in a while. But after eating it all the time my whole life literally feels apart. Low energy, sex drive, low motivation, low confidence. Moderation is key. What you decide to put in your body is very very important.

Friend of mine asked me to review his diet plab because he couldn't lose weight despite his "lean diet". TLDR: he was taking in 800 calories in honey in his 5 hot teas/day, frying foods in literal standing pools of "zero calorie" canola oil cooking spray, and eating 30+ servings of ketchup a day. In that alone he was getting 2k+ calories. People on average have zero idea about the bare minimum of nutrition. The food industry intentionally muddies the water. Frankly, it's terrifying.

Exactly. You can drink a days worth of calories from the fat and sugar in a sugared up Starbucks coffee.
@mikeh69482 жыл бұрын
Once a day or once a week doesn't matter. Most people's calorie deficit to lose weight is usually only a couple hundred calories. Even if you ate perfectly clean and regimented at a 500 calorie/day deficit, a weekly sugary Starbucks drink would prevent someone from losing an entire pound of fat over the course of a month. That's if they're doing everything else perfectly. Which, spoiler, they aren't. That doesn't even consider the metabolic implications. The insulin release from a giant sugary coffee is like eating a candy bar. You're guaranteed to store that as fat while in a calorie deficit.
