Personally, like you stated towards the end of your analysis, I get many great workout routines and diet tips for free between you tubers like you and several others. I tried it out when they did the free month at the very beginning of covid. I wasn't a fan of the workouts but everything else was pretty great. The food selection I could see me using almost exclusively in a more maintenance phase and all the wellness like meditation and stretch were nice. Though the only unique thing is the foods, everything else has some fairly comprehensive equivalents for free out there.

Hey Will, over quarantine I started my fitness journey and I had no clue where to start. Being 16, trying to figure out how to eat and train while maintaining flexibility was extremely difficult. I was always overweight as a kid, and losing weight was something I was set on doing but did not know how. Then I started watching your videos and they really brought me on the right path. I learned how to make macro-friendly foods, have a better knowledge on training , all while enjoying myself in the progress. When I came back to school this September, I made a transformation that I blew my expectations and it really changed who I was. I felt more confident than I ever felt in my life, and I owe that largely to your videos. Your videos have inspired me to help others and share the correct knowledge on fitness, so much so, I created a fitness, and nutrition club for my school about two months ago, and it is going strong! I live in the GTA, and it would truly be honour if me as well as the members of my club could meet you if that’s even a possibility lol. All in all, just really wanted to say thank you for inspiring me with your story, your character just to be a better person and help others. Keep up the banger vids 👍🏽

I actually use this app regularly. The calorie intake is broken down into more detail, I’ve been able to tailor it to my expenditure needs based on that info. I find that doing the whole week ties together all the workouts. The functional exercises with Da Rulk on thursdays for example, are insane and torch your whole body, with no weights. I would have liked to see will go through a whole week but it’s a nice honest review

I had Centr for a year when the pandemic started. The most questionable thing about it is the resistance training programming, and I pretty much never used that. But, there are some banging recipes and Sylvia Roberts' Pilates classes are just excellent. PS: Don't worry, Will. You're not the only inflexible bodybuilder out there.

As you could see at the beginning, it's $10 per month if you pay annually ($120 pa), it's only $369 pa is if you pay monthly. So you can trial it for free for a week, then try it monthly and give it a proper go - then just change to annual if it does it for you. The focus in the review was on muscle building and using the daily planner - it has a wide variety of programs and you don't have to follow the planner. For example, you can follow a program by Jorge Blanco, who trained George St-Pierre, or Da Rulk who has a military training style (expect severe pain). You saw a slither of the variety of training possibilities in the app. Obviously Will is just following what's in front of him and chose the muscle building advanced program - so that was his experience for that day. A lot of the workouts are coached (follow the trainers through a structured series of videos) rather than self guided which was what Will looked at. There are programs with no or minimum equipment as well which I've found great - I do them in the park. As someone that has used it for a couple of years, you saw about half of the app in this review by my guesstimate, and the price given is 3x what you pay. I've gotten a ton of value from $10 pm and recommended it to people I care about who still use it.

Perfect feedback! I’ve also used center for almost 3 years now. I think Will saw less than 1/3 of what is on offer, and from the point of view of an advanced lifter. He’s probably not the target audience for the app. Aside from the pricing, I think Will’s points were fair but limited in scope. But that’s to be expected since he’s very experienced. For the beginner, intermediate, or even advanced active person looking to have access to a variety of well-structured training programs, meal plans, and guided meditation/mindfulness, the app has a lot to offer for the price. That said, the app will also not appeal to everyone or may be lacking in depth if one is looking to do very specific activities (e.g. boxing, yoga, powerlifting).

I found your videos earlier this week and love the content. I fairly new trying to get healthy in the sense of getting active and eating a more balanced diet (I am turning 30 in June). I have 2 beautiful girls and I am getting healthier (and hopefully lose weight in the process) for both them and me. I have seen ads for Centr on Instagram and glad to see some info on their program since I can't afford to pay a lot of money for something that may or may not be ideal for me to get where I want to be. I workout at home (with dumbbells - up to 10 lbs - and a 10 lb kettle bell at the moment). My husband feels that diet is more important than exercising (I feel like there has to be an equal balance of a healthy diet and exercise). My work requires a lot of sitting down and moving around so I make sure to get my steps in. This pandemic has really put some stress on me since it got my husband let go at the start of it and because of circumstances, he gets to be the stay at home parent (take them to school, appointments, etc.) until he can get back to work.

Having used Centr for around 2 years, the only thing I'd comment on is that a lot of people seem to be focused on the $369. To be honest, it's typically always $119, not $369. It was even cheaper with the recent black friday sale. Great commentary as always though :)

I used Centr for a few months when quarantine started. I needed a home workout program and a kickstart to a healthy lifestyle. Even though the training isn’t really my speed, the food choices helped me to be a good chef, and the app definitely promoted a healthy lifestyle that helped me get through that time period. Not really optimal for bodybuilding but it’s good for promoting health I think.

This was a great video, Will. It would be awesome to see you review Coach Eugene Teo's Ganbaru method. He generally gives great advice, but as of recent his whole "rapid fat loss" 1200 calorie starvation mode has been very questionable, so it would be interesting to see you review his calculators and workouts.

I think it’s good for some and not as great for others. It got me in shape. I combine the RFT/HIIT workouts with traditional bodybuilding/ powerlifting movements. Before I couldn’t get me legs to get sore and grow. After doing one of Da Rulks leg workouts my legs felt like they were going to snap in half.

I think they code the workout section around your goals. So if you select build muscle they lower the reps to have you up intensity and raise the reps if you’re wanting to lose weight. But they didn’t code it to take the exercises into consideration. So 3 sets of 5 on lateral raises rather than 3x15

Will, when you’re wetting the rice paper for the rolls, don’t soak them in the water, all you need is a quick 1 second dip in warm water. They will stay together better and be easier to roll.

I think that was my issue with the app and I've tried a lot of apps and I work for a fitness app lmaoo, but our app focuses on beginners quite more than advanced people and thus is my issue the app I work for doesn't really work for people after they get past a certain point.

These are pretty interesting. I have never been one to try a lot of these online workout programs. I did one time years ago and it didnt stick with it but it was worth the price. It was calisthenics based and had a great videos on how to do all of the exercises. I think some of these videos seems not enough since its just based on one day but I like how Will looks more into the program overall for a week or month to give more insight. Hopefully it helps people not get caught up in wasting money unless its a right fit for you.

Biology does not care what someone identifies as. If you want to lose weight or add muscle to your physical body, your actual sex is very important to put in the database if you expect any kind of accuracy, because males and females are very different when it comes to these things, so this is not a place for political correctness
