I have 2 of the Pure Strikes that are matched with a 328 SW, same balance and very close static weight. I added 1 1/2 grams of lead at the area between 3&9 and 10&2. on both sides. I then wrapped 4 grams of lead starting at 2 inches below the top of the molded foam handle. This will give you stability and just a smidge more SW. The total weight of each racquet is 339 grams. I use a rubberband dampener. These are unbelievable sticks. The control is insane and the spin is, well, simply amazing. The power in this racquet is sublime, especially on serve. If you are thinking about buying the Strike, make sure you demo first, which is what I did. When I hit it without customization it was surprisingly good. Once I added a slight amount of weight, it became even better. I string mine with Yonex PolyTour Strike, black or gray, 1.25 at 51lbs on a constant pull machine. The ball pocketing is excellent. I've tried four other strings on it and nothing has the feel or the pocketing of the PolyTour Strike, at least for this racquet. Cheers!

I strung my prostaff at 55 pounds with solinco tourbite or confidential.
@chuckfriebe843 Жыл бұрын
@@tennischannel5278 well, firstly, I would not string the prostaffs so high, especially with tour bite. That could be part of your arm pain. Secondly, no, the pure strike is stiff. 66 RA. If you want a more comfortable racquet try either the Yonex Vcore 97 Pro 310. 61 RA and very arm friendly. You can string that one about 53lbs and get great control and comfort. I then bought a pure aero 2015_2016 it was already strung with a synthetic gut at lower tension and played better from day 1 have not looked back. For the single backhanders...You will know why thiem rips a single BH like no other after you try the P. Strike. After 30yrs of playing.... Best racquet for Single bh if you like to rip it with heavy topzpin and power. If ur bh is more of a push flatter drive and placement... I would go with the blade. To keep the Strike under control you will need higher tensions as recommended on the racquet. I use to use 48lbs full poly on all my other racquets. When I got strike @48lbs. Its way too soft. U can use 48lbs on the 2nd gen strike but the 3rd gen is a very unique racquet...if u don't rip heavy topspin balls on both wings... I suggest the blade..

I’m about to switch my 3 year old pure strike for the blade v8 16x19. The pure strike is definitely the more powerful racket but for me it lacks feedback and control. The blade just feels more solid on impact whereas the pure strike has that hollow feel at contact. I also feel I have more margin for error with the Blade. So it’s Blade for me.
