Thank you for the video, I own a 92FS I purchased in 1990, always wondered if there was a better trigger out there. Using this video, I installed this Wilson Combat trigger, a Wolf trigger spring and Wilson Combat hammer spring, incredible short travel and reduced trigger pull weight. I also added a two stage recoil spring, It shoots like a new gun.

Tomcat, does it reduce the take up?
@5010tomcat
@5010tomcat 4 жыл бұрын
@@guilhermecavalcantevieira5730 by take up you mean recoil and muzzle climb? Yes there is a delay in recoil induced by the dual spring on the slide. Makes the second follow up shot very doable.

Thank you for the instruction. Just installed the short trigger on my 96D Centurion. For a DA only pistol, this is an essential and excellent upgrade. The difference is not quite noticeable by looks, but definitely a big difference by feel. Before, I prefer the isosceles stance with this particular pistol due to my smaller hands. After the upgrade, I can shoot in the weaver stance and also one-handed just as well if not better.

I switched the SRT back to Beretta's steel trigger so I can use the Wilson Combat/Wolf trigger conversion unit without having to file anything down. A tad disappointed that WC didn't look into details deep enough.

For anyone who would want to know. This trigger reduces trigger reach by something like .07-.08 inches.

@@garywixson8852 Because its less than a tenth of an inch of change. People arent really interested in these when they find out that they barely shorten the trigger reach.

Why didn't you show what the trigger did different at the end? I've watched videos from you guys before where, after you do the work, you don't show the completed project. It's annoying!!

The original 92 triggers have a very long SA reset. Does this change that?
@stevensurman6365
@stevensurman6365 3 жыл бұрын
@@neuvocastezero1838No. The short reach trigger only moves the trigger closer to the grip. To change the trigger reset travel, you'd have to buy a different trigger bar from Wilson or Langdon. As well as a new trigger spring assembly that limits the overtravel. Hope this helps.

@@stevensurman6365 I noticed on mine (92A1) that after the first shot, in SA there is a bit of "slop" that I have to take up before it will fire. Will this different trigger bar reduce/remove that slop? Also, does the new trigger bar effect the first DA trigger squeeze at all? Thanks.

Old video, I know. But you should mention that some 92FS have a notch on the trigger bar that the trigger spring sits in. You have to lift the trigger spring out of the notch to remove the trigger bar, it doesn't always just pull out like you show.

Upgrades I installed. Wilson short reach trigger, 14 lb. hammer spring, reduced power trigger spring. Improvements I noticed. NONE, ZERO, NADA. Waist of $$$. Reduced reach trigger is looser/sloppy fit, than factory trigger. If I had it to do over again..... I wouldn't.

You should definitely notice a difference between the factory 20lb hammer spring and the 14lb Wilson Combat spring. I personally wouldn’t use the reduced power trigger return spring. Sucks you through away all that money for nothing. Live and learn.

@Jason Rasmussen It was brand new. I noticed a reduction in trigger pull, but the short reset didn't work. I found out, you need to file the trigger bar pad, before the short reset works. Some things are better left alone. The Wilson extended mag release is a fuc*ing nightmare to replace. The Beretta extended release is MUCH easier to install.

I installed this after the LTT trigger bar, and I can't say I noticed a significant improvement. Perhaps someone with smaller hands would be a better judge. The edges of the trigger could have been smoothed off a little better too. The factory steel trigger a better finish.

So I have the same trigger/trigger bar setup you got. At the same time as getting the trigger I also got me some G10 thin grips. I have hands that are a bit small for the Beretta 92. But I love the pistol so much I just dealt with it. For me it was the grips thay really made the grip better. I also immediately gave my factory grips to my dad so I haven't been able to tell what the trigger alone did for me. He had Hogue wrap around finger groove on his Inox and wasn't liking those at all. Love the LTT trigger bar though. I don't really focus on the short reset when I shoot but it's cool to have. My Walther P99AS has a short reset as well but on that I really notice it. Used to have a W. German marked Sig P228 that had a really long reset. Noticed that as well when shooting it. Almost spent $200 sending it back to Sig for their short reset trigger job but traded it for a HK Benelli M1 Tactical instead. Was wondering what your experience was with that trigger bar.

I feel like this is for a USA made beretta because on my italian 92fs, I could not drop the center trigger spring without the rear leg popping out the bottom. Instead what I had to do was put back in the trigger bar, then press the spring in with a screwdriver and then push the bottom trigger pin in from the left. Every other step is the same in this video.

Don't notice a difference and it looks like you reinstalled the original trigger as you can't just drop the spring in it needs to be put in at the same time with the trigger as opposed to dropped in.

This is not an adequate explanation of everything that needs to happen to do this at all. There are numerous small grooves that the springs need fall directly into and that's not mentioned at all. Also, getting the trigger return spring to go back into right position isn't easy at all. I would not recommend doing this yourself if you aren't experienced with this kind of work.

Is it me or does anyone else feel that the single action is spongy when dry firing?
@topbreak38
@topbreak38 6 жыл бұрын
Don't know if you got an answer yet, but the answer is yes. Most DA/SA guns have a weird slop to them. There are trigger spring upgrades from Wilson and Wolff that get rid of it. They look like little snails. Just be sure to take the old spring out when you put the new one in. Some people don't.
