Hey Jonas, thank you for the wonderful review. How would you compare this Wilson Pro Staff Six One 100 to the Head 360+ Speed MP?
@VPursl3 жыл бұрын
Got one today for the test. Going to order two more. Fits my game very well - I had Babolat Pure Strike 16x19 (98) the orange/black version and till now the legendary Ezone DR 98 (310g). I also enjoy playing the new Blade 98 (16x19). In my opinion this new Pro Staff Six.One 100 (V13) fits somewhere in between these racquets. But definitely requires a good technique, solid swing and early preparation. Very good tournament racquet definitely not for begginers or slightly advanced players. I guess more people will stay with the Blade or Yonex due to the more forgiving factor and probably more "plush" feel. Pro Staff looks amazing.
@amirjon3 жыл бұрын
I'm leaning towards the blade v8 (coming from the V7). But this just came to my mind. I'm a 4.0 and could possibly use an easier racket with a bit more power. What do you think?
@VPursl3 жыл бұрын
@@amirjon Hard to say. The best way would be to try yourself (if some shop offers a demo). I find myself able to generate power and spin with less effort than with my previus racquets (headsize 98). But from what you said, I guess you would be able to play with both Blade V8 and this Six One. But to be honest ... I now play regularly with my new Pro Staff Six One v13 and finaly getting comfortable with it. However I started to have a little pain in my forearm. Maybe it is due to the slightly thinner frame, I am not sure, never had any issues or pain before. Hopefully it will disappear but it is somethink that you might take also into consideration.

Hey man, elbow problems especially on the serve come from changing rackets very often. During the serve, youre throwing the racket into the ball and your wrist has to be in a neutral torque setting, if your wrist is flexed during contact, its ouch. Now every racket with its unique specs will reach the sort of acceleration that allows a neutral torque wirst at different times so if you change rackets all yhe time, your wrist never gets dialed in obe frame. My advice is to never serve over 50% power with or really take time to dial in a racket during one to two weeks with daily serves. Source: my experience, horrible elbow (inside) pain when serving with a new frame, pain goes away after lots of serves and time to dial the frame in, pain comes back when toss is bad for example and i have to muscle the ball. I decided to never change specs again

I liked the Head the most during hitting but this 6.1 was amazing during match play. It was fast, had tons of feel and easy access to spin and pace while giving me plenty of control. I really enjoyed playing with it. I was ready to decided on the Radical Pro but this won for me in the end.

I m playing with this racket for 2 weeks, feeling is : you can hit hard without being afraid the ball will fly away. Very good control can hit a forehand down the line shots with more precision, good on mid-pace ball volleys, but struggled with volleying high-pace balls. Slices are good. overall I m not regretting my purchase. racket enhances my strength and suits my style (play not long rallies, try to attack and finish point asap). for anyone who wants the V14, the paint just chips off. Every time I take it out of my bag there is a new chunk missing. The new grip also sucks, first overgrip i took off also took half of the grip with it. I'm pretty disappointed with it. I have a 6.0 95 (pete sampras signature from the 90s) that is a superior racket to the v14 6.1 100. Initially strung by tennis warehouse at 54 with RPM blast, was too tight. Tried nrg2 at 57 in the crosses with a generic soft copoly in the mains at 50, now feels like a trampoline. Tried putting all sorts of weights in different places to get the static and dynamic weight right, but, it isn't working. Ready for the recycle bin and going back to the old old old one. I am going to give it one new set of strings and then going to call it a day. hopefully some paint will be left on the frame by then.
