@Tennis Warehouse - Did he have it weighted up at all? If so, can you share how? Thanks!

Rod keefer - How would I know that? They don't mention the racquet's weight in the video.

You've got to watch Tim's serve is slow motion - the depth of his racquet drop, the amount of his body flexibility etc is just ridiculous!!

can you share how tim has his racquet customized?

Great video. Amazing the low tensions some of these pros use. 45lbs is quite something.

I tried this racket with mid 50 initially and hated it. Tried it at 46 with a multi in mains and poly in crosses and its my racket or choice now.

@@TariqSaleem i think it's partially from the tight string pattern

Thanks for the 2nd review of the UT! I have mine strung at 53lbs Alu Power, love it, but looking for a little more spin and pop. I've weighted it up quite a bit both in the handle and 12" strips at at 12, but still playing around with weight. Do you have any suggestions on strings? I'm thinking of going with Alu Power Rough 1.25 (M) and VS Touch 1.30 (X) at 45. Good place to start or should I look try just lowering the tension on the Alu Power?
@tenniswarehouse6 жыл бұрын
@James Wen, I would first try lowering the tension on your ALU Power, to about 50 pounds. I prefer this racquet strung in the 45-47 pound range with most co-poly strings. If that drop still isn't quite what you're looking for, then the natural gut/co-poly hybrid is definitely worth trying. I prefer the natural gut in the mains, and co-poly in the crosses, as I find it to have a bit more power, spin, and feel. In this case, Tim Smyczek prefers the co-poly in the mains, as it comes down to preference. Troy, TW

Chris, can you provide a link to your “low tension” experiment?

Here is the discussion on our message board which is full of info from others trying it also. The link to the article is in the first post: tt.tennis-warehouse.com/index.php?threads/low-low-tensions-30lbs-feels-great-20lbs-pretty-good-too.319527/ Cheers, Chris, TW

This racquet doesn't belong to the Ultra line. This is more of a Blade but I think Wilson wants to boost the Ultra line with some pro s endorsements. Also, it comes down to the preference but my experience with this racquet wasn't that pleasant. But thanks TW family for a nice vid=)
@gavlatennis28246 жыл бұрын
It doesn't play anything like the Blade. Nor the other Ultras to be fair. It really sits in a category of its own but nobody's going to create a new racquet line just for one racquet.
