I don't know whether Esmond gets the credit or others are due credit, but these guys have mastered the balance between deck building, good attitudes, and healthy gameplay with a dash of great video editing. Nothing appears scripted (except maybe Matt attacking Ez) and each video feels like a fun game at home with your friends. So glad y'all got that shout out recently, you deserve more recognition!

Would just like to say a huge thank you to both of you for your kind words, and I'd also like to go on record saying that while some of my Esmond-attacks definitely feel a bit contrived and sub-optimal at times (even to me!), none of them are scripted. It's my only method of catharsis for getting Esmond back for the hour he wakes me at ;)

Excellent video! Good fun energy. There is a misplay around 39:10. Matthew taps Path of Ancestry and adds one additional mana via Mirari's Wake and uses it to cast Whitemane Lion twice. He also scrys twice as though Path of Ancestry itself produced two mana. The misplay is that additional produced by Mirari's Wake's triggered ability isn't produced by the permanent tapped for mana so that additional mana doesn't have any of the triggers granted to it by the land actually tapped for mana.

That was a fun game. I was happy to see Matthew win, but I think the background/gate deck was my favorite. I was just thinking about how to pilot a janky background deck, and this was an excellent way!

Great match as always. I love the decks you guys choose to play in most episodes, usually efficient but often a little janky. Keeps the game length a nice middle ground, but not too quick or boring. Sisay Backgrounds MVP.
