CS2 Donk slides are actually really important. With how the networking is in this game, your likelihood of getting a "fade away" frag once you're already behind a wall is pretty high. I like narrow swinging angles, committing to the fight, and then Donk slide back behind the angle. Makes you visible for a very short amount of time.

Right now im at 2.1k elo on faceit and was looking for ways to improve my mechanics. Even though i'd say i knew all of this, having this explained in detail and put into perspective really helped a lot. I think ill be able to really work on the micro level in regards of peeking. Great video man
@facelesscsgo4134Ай бұрын
7:15 is the key of success with Xantares peek. We need to know when to make a shoulder peek and to try to clean angles one by one and when we are likely to have only one opponent vs us. And speed of course, and cross placement and good coordination but that's something we should know.
@kedyseverimАй бұрын
In his old streams xantares said theres a meta positions you should need to follow or you need to learn your opponents position habit so u can easily prefire this position

1 thing that makes the second donk peek/slide u mentioned better is subtick. u peek, then u go the opposide side very far then u click crouch, subtick records all this, then the next tick hits and u crouch and go supersonic speed to the left while crouching on the other persons screen, because 64 tick is so delayed, but subtick records the strafe and crouch and applies it at the next tick, it makes u crouch strafe to the opposide side that u peeked at a speed u can only normaly achieve non crouching, if u then another counterstrafe or counterstrafe tap, and a crouch tap or stop holding crouch for a second, it just makes it look so bugged on the other persons screen. Donk is mechanicalay extremly good but he also abuses subtick to the max.
@OctegerАй бұрын
hahhah bro calm down its not like 64 tick has a 2 second delay or sth

so i know these concepts HOWEVER its good to get some reassurance. When a player better then you says "just hold short" and i timing peek every few seconds from goose can really mess with your confidence. For 3 more dust maps i tried holding and lost most fights due to pre aim/pre fire. went back to timing and got 40 aces in 1 day. Thanks for the confidence Wilson!!!! goat. banger content. i never doubt clickbait algorithm trash with you its always fire!

I love that you used my favorite angle to xantares peek people on as your example in the video hahaha. I get so many kills xantares peeking headshot angle at bridge on Anubis with an AK or awp. As always, great video Wilson 👍 On a small note, donk MAY have popularize tapping crouch during engagements for newer players, but it has been around since 1.5/1.6 and myself and all the other old heads who still play do it all the time. At least, I noticed older players who still have this habit because tapping crouch while fighting in 1.6 was meta. It was so much the meta people would bind crouch to mwheelup and spam it around corners making it nearly impossible to hit your head cleanly and is also why in CSGO/CS2 they added crouch delay if you attempt to spam it. I do agree that Donk is making newer people who never played 1.5/1.6 realize how good it is and they are incorporating it as well. I've always used the crouch tap during fights. Okay now get off my lawn! *shakes walker in the air*
