Neil waving goodbye to Chris was one of the funniest endings they could've had to this.

it reminds me of Chris' very first appearance on the show, and the story about him not realizing that his new neighbor was deaf. Gabby Hogan on the other team demonstrating a literal wave that the neighbor would've done at the time, and Chris promptly pointing out the futility of such an action

it was very gracious of maisie to assume that davids fictional encounter happened while he was a child, because I did not think that for a second. I mean, obviously the story is completely made up, but I certainly imagined a scenario where david, as a fully grown man, got on some other mans shoulders to look at a bird.

I thought it was Chris because of how readily he proclaimed that Chris Cornell was the artist he went to see...It could also be because I read years ago that he was a fan of Soungarden.

My 2 cents worth. 1 I believe, subject to correction, Chris is/was not totally blind. He could see shadows, so a wave would have been recognizable 2.Since they have known each other from childhood it is still instinctive for him to relate to Chris as he has known him for that many years rather than the Chris he has recently known. Hope that makes sense.

That exchange between lee and chris about recognition when you can’t see is a Great example of the blind spots people have about the disabled experience - and how we unconsciously preference the sense of sight, hence ‘blind spot’.

Very obviously it was Chris' mate. I don't think it's ever been true in this round when someone says they've had an argument with the guests or that things are awkward or tense between them or anything like that. Besides which, no man is going to be angry at a beautiful young woman in that scenario.

their logic for picking Laura seemed very faulty. If this was true, in all likelihood the guy wouldn't STILL be salty about it, he'd be able to see the humor in it this far after the fact, and that he's getting to be on television out of the deal.
