+FoundMyFitness Rondha, in my point of view, the technical details of producing the video are less relevant than the content. You have credit since a lot of other videos are very nice, both in content and editing. When the dog start barking its noticed you didnt like, but it was out of your control. When Wim asked for the dog enter, your face is hilarious! Wim is really a daredavil and a very natural and spontaneous guy. Thanks for the video, keep it up with awesome content!

+JK Young I came to FoundMyFitness.com website to see some discussion or follow up. But found nothing. I have watched most of Wim Hof vids before this one and was hoping for something new. He is really crazier here than most other videos. Watch the Vice TV video. Its much more informative. I REALLY wanted to hear what Dr. P had to say about the science, but every time she opened her mouth Wim spazzed out and talked over her. Please Dr. P., write some short thoughts on the science and implications and applications or where this crazy man will lead us. Thanks!

For the past 3 months I start my showers off really hot until I adapt to it, then I immediately bring it to the coldest possible temperature and the initial shock doesn’t even bother me anymore. After sitting under the cold shower for a minute or so it strangely feels like my body is glowing or just radiating a type of thermal energy that I can feel inside and out. I’m ADDICTED to this feeling and it’s the best way to start off my day, better than a cup of coffee or any other morning routine I’ve had. Even better when I start my morning off with black coffee and then a cold shower, I feel invigorated just thinking about it!

There’s something that Wym doesn’t realise and nor can science understand and that is that when you put your body through highly stressful situations you open a gateway to the spiritual realm like many cultures that practice similar. It brings and amazing clarity and reality of life. It’s similar to those who suffer extreme pain and long to experience it again even though their life is better. If you are a real Christian (unlike most 90% of the religious ones) you experience this all the time as the holy spirit brings you into a very strong state of awareness and consciousness. Just read a book on Caesar Augustus. Augustus was plagued by bouts of debilitating illness that would take him to the brink of death every few years. In his early thirties he hired a Greek healer that had him take ice baths. Whaddayaknow, it healed him for life.
@billyrowe0064
@billyrowe0064 7 жыл бұрын
I studied this stuff in college and they talked about it in a 'On Death and Dying' book for Philosophy. I love this story. They said he had liver problems. So they tried various medicines and then went from hot water to cold water baths. He was healed. Symptoms were gone. His physician who healed him was Antonius Musa. Supposedly the nephew of Augustus was not healed by this 'cold bath' so shortly after that, Musa disappeared from history. They say cold water is damaging to the liver so Augustus could not have had liver problems - maybe it was something else. They consider the medicine a fluke, however Musa had other notable mentions not only just from Augustus.

So yes, he can be, by definition, depressed one day and then not depressed the next day. What you cannot do is be not depressed one day and then depressed the other, because in order to classify as depressed you need to have a certain group of symptoms for a couple of weeks.

Can I just marry Rhonda and hangout with Wim for the rest of my life? Two of the coolest people on the planet. Rhonda is beautiful and insanely intelligent. Wim is crazy cool and passionate. Thanks for the info you two! I do Cold Therapy everyday. Need to spend more time on the breathing though. Nice to hear about the biochemical stuff.

I'm really happy I found both of you on the same podcast! I have the ability to generate a fight/flight response at will though I can't say that it ever dilates my pupils or increases my heart rate...gonna do more testing but it seems my pain threshold is increased temporarily and so is my strength. Can't do it too much or I get burned out and in a sort of dulled/depressed state. I haven't found a way to use this against cold, but thanks to this I'm gonna start testing it out! Cheers and thanks for all the work you do to bring us awesome guests Mrs. Patrick :)

It's interesting to compare this with the Joe Rogan interview with Wim Hof. I like Hof in this interview, but by the time he did the Rogan interview, he had really streamlined his message, and had his key message down to a few bullet points. But his energy in this one, the fun he's having, is great..

I had this workout routine where I would start with a 3-5 mile run them heavy compound powerlifting 3x3. Then I would hit the sauna for 15 mins then the steam room for 15 mins while doing yoga and meditating then i would do i ice bath/shower as cold as I can for 20 so minutes. My diet was high in cholesterol, fats, and protien low in sugar. Ill tell you what I never felt so good in my life after about a month. Always had energy, always high libido, calm energy calm aggression. Focus better hair skin nails. The list just goes on. Highly recommended.
