@GamingTech
Download the CRU app www.techspot.com/downloads/73...
Change HDR metadata to 127 (LG C1, CX OLED or any display with an 800nits max Peak brightness)
Turn on HDR and auto HDR from Windows 11 and open Auto HDR supported games.
The calibration will get better on Sep 20 with a windows update and the release of the HGIG calibration app on the Microsoft store.

The auto HDR is working amazing now, it wasn't working well for me before, I don't know what happened, maybe an update. Spiderman looks awesome with Auto HDR, the colors, peak brightness, midtones, there's no black level raised either, I got that wrong at the beginning because I thought I would be able to adjust the black level using the screenshot and It is 2 clicks lower on the HDR WCG app for some reason.

Yup you need to do this and test. Try with spiderman or any other game that has its own hdr on/off slider and adjustments for hdr. You need to test built in hdr settings vs W11 auto hdr. When you turn off hdr for example in spiderman on pc then auto hdr kicks in after you run the game second time. Its much brighter then with hdr on in game. Why? I hope you can find out! Because I swear it looks much brighter and better. Of course with CRU settings set like this guy did depending on what panel you have.

@@plasmatvforgaming9648 Yeah I've already watched, assuming that the calibration tool only actually works with the 22H2 update (which I don't have) I can't really comment on it , but under 21H2 the tool is more than useless, it doesn't change the display EDID information so games will still read the incorrect brightness values, ICC aware software breaks when using it and it doesn't fix the incorrect gamma windows uses when converting SDR to HDR (hence the midtones and shadows of autoHDR is wrong)

Once you do the system level calibration with CRU utility there is no need for this slider in my opinion. It will only reduce the peak output which is now corelated corectly to the TV's capabilities.

I just hope the low iput delay is correct. I bought this bc of the extra hours they made me work bc of the pedemic.They said best tv, IDK about that, hdr raytracing games look amazing thou. I turned off auto dim from the you tube video i found in the survice menu. it got annoying wile reading articales on the net, it would dim. Gaming i didn't care. Man all my new stuff does stuff for burn in anyways. I wouldn't use 50 warm for pc use. i notice the whites getting warm as well, i don't want to see orangey whites. I put it a bit lower for pc use. The other consoles the same. Not that color imfomaty wile looking at a angle, why. they said it's to see what panel you have. Wile using ms paint i notice it, baguege white. Funny how the web browser for lg smart feature is on a dark theme. to hide that. Meh.

The only issue I've so far not been able to completely solve on either windows 10 or windows 11 is the raised blacks you get whenever you turn windows HDR. I've done some tests using black level calibrations on some websites like lagon and the black levels on near blacks are severely raised giving a slightly washed out feeling to the image. I can mess with the gamma and brigthness levels on nvidia control panel to mitigate it but that's still far from idea and I wish I'd knew what exactly is going wrong with windows HDR black levels (they are raised even when playing HDR games or HDR movies)

@@plasmatvforgaming9648 I've just seen it. It've done the CRU trick myself thanks to you talking about it a few months earlier for the first time and it did help with the bright highlits the raised blacks are a different issue, though. I've read somewhere some nvidia drivers had a hotfix to hdr raised blacks but it *shouldn't* be this reason since it's an old driver and mine are update. Thinking about doing a clean driver reinstall and check it though. And it's not about the HDR settings. Even the SDR content gets raised blacks when you turn on HDR on windows I've noticed you do the brightness trick on the C1 to lower black levels and I tried that as well but it's not perfect. The raised blacks affect the overall gamma and lowering the TV britghness ends up dimming the overall picture including highlights. Best I could do was to lower brightness on NVidia control panel and increase contrast to compensat for the lowered highlights but since I'm eyeballing it results aren't perfect. Besides, It's been like this on 3 different computers I checked and with different TVs from another friend so it's probably a widespread windows issue and either Microsoft or Nvidia have some fixing to do

For native HDR games setting up the max Peak brightness on Windows 11 is not going to have any impact because there is no HDR game on PC that uses system level calibration because there is no system level calibration on windows yet, so HDR games will completely ignore that. For Auto HDR from Windows 11 it will only matter if you can't get the Adjust intensity slider to work (it wasn't working for me when I made that video), if it works just set it up from 70-75
