Well that's a kinder gentler approach ,but My old man's gun safety/ security talk worked extremely well.he Showed me his gun , looked me dead in the eye and said "if you ever even think about touching a gun , I'LL BEAT YOU TILL YOU PISS BLOOD! Dad didn't play!

Similar talk I got as a youngster. It worked alright. lol

Replace the batteries twice a year regardless. When you spring forward and fall back. Just like fire alarms.

That's not a bad idea at all. I just replaced my red dot batteries on my birthday too. lol

I'm no thief and I'm no boomer. I got an SNES for Christmas once. That said, the exposed hinge and pin would take me less than 30 seconds to open. I used to work in aviation.

This is just a way to keep little paws off, IMO, and honest people honest. I wouldn't count on it to prevent a theft. lol

They sent Paul one. He rolled it up in pork ribs and oranges and shot it with a 7mm mag😀

😂 Paul doesn't have young kids, I'd guess. lol This thing is worth keeping around for me. Hell, I'm probably going to buy a couple more to stash around the house.

@@ArchetypeofMan I agree that is a dandy way to keep a pistol handy and out of the wrong hands!

My buddy unexpectedly pulled a balls to 8 watch (standby). I was the (standby) sitter. He wanted to make sure I had one of these stupid things. I lied. Told him I had 2. Guns were in a safe, ammo was locked up in a separate place and the only loaded gun was the one I had on me. "A good time was had by all, with minimal casualties."

Does it have a low battery indicator?

I can't find any reference to one, but I'll take a deeper dive in the manual this evening and try to get back to you on that.
