Bought and installed one of these, dropped the trigger pull to 2.5lbs...thought I was good to go, then I tested it by slamming the butt of the rifle on a hard floor (safety off, unloaded) from about 6" and click the rifle went off. Be safe

I used a spring from a ball point pen on a 225 win HB decades ago.Cant remember what I did with adj nuts. Along with smoothing sear connectors a extremely light pull was had.as good as my Rem 700’s at the time

Would be nice to use correct terminology those are action screws not nuts, also when changing trigger springs or adjustments on a trigger a Safety function test should be preformed to make sure the safety is working properly

I installed and started getting light primer strikes. I put the factory springs back in and had no more light primer strikes. I put the mcarbo springs back in and I got light primer strikes again. What could I be doing wrong?

Why do you change the spring???? Just look for the correct setting with the nuts and you're done !! WITHOUT changing the spring!!!! Have a nice day!

That is sear engagement and should not be tinkered with as others online say it can lead to rifle firing from getting bumped hard. That's why they change the springs so as to leave the sear engagement alone.

people who did this spring replacement are having accidental rifle firings too, so that new spring isn't safe either...
