According to the Taurus G2C manual and it states the firearm in 9mm is rated for +P.

Whether a pistol is +P rated or not has more to do with the legal department than the engineering department. I agree any gun can be made much more +P friendly with a heavier recoil spring. In my LCP max I also added a stainless pin kit, it gobbles up +P just fine.

Great, most people do their test with layers of denim. Like that you did it also with one layer of T-shirt. I live in Florida and the possibility that an attacker will be wearing multiple layers of clothing are slim, most likely a T-shirt, short pants and flip flops 😁 I hope that I’ll never have to use deadly force but if I have to, is good to know the performance of the ammo you’re carrying.

Besides the Hi-Point? I had the Hi-Point 995 with the Redball 20rd mag and loved it. Aside from that I'd probably go with the Ruger PC carbine.

My g2c and g3c and g3 eat anything I haven't had any malfunctions in any of them and the g3 I practice with almost every week i stopped counting at 4,000 rounds with no malfunctions.

The reason you didn't get more velocity than the silvertips is because the silvertips are rated at 1225fps, and this is rated at 1200fps, but the silvertips are a lighter bullet at 115gr vs 124gr for the USA ready. So the fact that you're getting the same velocity means that the USA ready is dumping more energy.

Recently aquired the 68 grain for testing, have the 90 grain as well. I did a test on the 90's a while back in a giant colab video, but I'll be doing them again this year by themselves along with the 68's. Thanks for the suggestions!

@@BuckeyeBallistics When I lived in the Pa mountains (black bear country) I carred Buffalo Bore 100gr+P hard cast flat nose. That stuff kicks like a .357 magnum snub nose from a little gun like an LCP. 40"+ of penetration though, lol. Fk off bear.

I'm not even sure that winchester loads their "+p" ammo up to +p pressures. they use a slower burning powder and can push the bullets to higher velocity without loading up to +p. So its safe to use in any gun if that's true.

The g2 is plus p rated all there 9mm and 38's are it just says a steady diet is not recommended and it's mostly due to the mostly plastic part metal guide rod
