Wind River (2017): The Middle America Film | Video Essay

I have seen Wind River about 4 times now and can say that I will definitely watch it again. It's on my top 10 list of movies and definitely worthy of that title, it's also my favorite Jeremy Renner film. I am glad that you chose to review it on your channel. The main cast of Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen and Graham Greene definitely brought their "A" game to this film. The story is well written with beautiful cinematography and a haunting soundtrack, all combining to make Wind River a must-see film in my books. I hope more people can discover this film for the first time, they won't be disappointed. Thanks for the review!

I believe this was writer/director Taylor Sheridan's first film, before Hell or High Water and long before he started the Yellowstone franchise. Great movie and a great role for Gil Birmingham.

Serendipitous timing with Renner being unfortunately on the news this morning after being significantly injured while driving his snow plow, which he uses to keep the mountain road he lives on passable for neighbors. It appears he was a great choice for the role - thanks for highlighting a film I was previously unfamiliar with. I'll watch it this week.
