it will take some time to build all the dormers, which obviously will be done dangling and no scaffolding, unless he postpone those to after slates, which makes no sense, flashing, repointing, ... but what he's done is a bit deceiving speed wise, putting in large timbers and osb's doesnt really take that long, its usually quick to set up the frame of a house. its every detail after that takes time. I also wonder how he will keep youtube interest up when the plastering starts, because there will be a lot of plastering.

Dan I know you want to do this yourself, but you need to get the slates on the existing roofs now. That membrane is not intended to be exposed for a long time. It will deteriorate and tear. If one tenth of the subscribers donated $5.00 you could probably hire a company to come in, build scaffolding, and get the roof slated quickly. Personally I'd be excited to know I was part of the group who "sponsored" getting that beautiful roof slated.

@@jelsner5077 I think there`s also another reason. There seems to be only one entrance to the property and it`s a pretty narrow one, maybe seven or eight feet wide, with stone pillars on each side. I don`t think a mobile crane would fit through there. That sucks. Unless there`s another way to get in but I can`t see one on google maps.
