The Nosk fight is carried entirely by vibes. Like the fight is simply and everyone considers it to be one of the easier ones of the game, but the set up and setting of the fight makes it pretty memorable. It almost feels like something out of a horror game, even if it isn't really what most people would consider scary. Sound design, music, arena, set up, all of it carries the moment even if the fight is technically "easy"

On my first run I picked up mantis claw and then continued exploring the area until I accidentally opened up the way to Mantis lords. Being the stubborn person that I am I didn’t back away after dying repeatedly since I didn’t have any upgrades until I beat them. I already had bought lantern to get into Crystal peaks so I got my first dreamer there and got the trampass. So instead of enter the City of tears the usual way I got there from ancient Basin.

When you first got to the dark area I thought you were going to do it without the lamp. If you didn't know the worm things crawling on the floor act like spikes in that you can pogo off them. You did "cheat" twice when you bench-warped. I think of it as cheating because it's more like metagaming.
