I know I messed up with one note and slipped after with the tempo at parts. This is one of my harder arrangements :P

I know this might sound really basic and silly but I also play with my fingertips and one thing that I do if I feel that my tone is maybe a little too smooth is that I move my hand closer towards the bridge to sort of thin things out a bit. However for me playing with the fingers instead of the pick is having that control to make things super smooth at certain times. I know they open up various sort of flamenco techniques but long nails are not for me either :)

Definitely worth sticking with the tab, it's a standardised form of notation and this particular tabulature is very well written. That said, a private tutor would not doubt be happy to learn it and teach you for a fee. :)

Also, do you have any tips for playing guitar. Like the parts where you have to play 2 notes very fast, this song is a good example. I think they are called pull offs and ons or something like that.

Yes, they are called hammer-on, pull-off and are mostly applied to 1/64 notes, or fast notes. My only tip about that with this arrangement is to practice precision, especially with the pinky. Give it time and you will get better!

Isaac, I noticed you are playing with fingertips rather than fingernails, as most classical/fingerstyle guitarists do. I currently use fingertips the same as you do, but i find that it gives my music a muffled tone. May I ask, why do you prefer fingertips rather than nails?

Also how long does it take you to in a way "Master" a tab, I've been recently been trying to play balled of goddess but when all the bass comes in, almost at the middle I can't play fast enough and I can't get it to sound like the way you playing it.

Well, that depends entirely on your previous fingerstyle skill and the time you put to learn an arrangement. It takes many hours of repetition (days), segmenting the arrangement from beginning to end and playing each segment in a slow pace to get fluidity. When the finger positions for the switch are memorized you move to the next segment and repeat the process. When you can play the arrangement without looking at the tab, you will be able to focus on other things, such as increasing the tempo, and perfecting your execution for the parts you have difficulties with.. after that I would say you've mastered a tab. If you can't play it fast, play it slow... increase tempo each day or two, but you don't need to play ballad of the goddess in my tempo. I think I played it a bit too fast!
