I didn't hate the games coming from Milestone as much as the garbage coming from THQ/Rainbow. At least I can play Milestone games for more than a few minutes without getting super frustrated. Legends is unplayable, imo.

@@jkell411 sounds like you issue, a skill issue… legends isn’t unplayable, you have to spend some time to get good at it. It has skill gap and takes some time to learn how to be good at the game, something the milestone games desperately lacked. Riding a bicycle isn’t impossible simply because you don’t know how or haven’t spent the time to learn. Instant gratification isn’t everything, EVEN IN VIDEO GAMES

@traxxas328 , thank you. I didn't think of that... On the other hand, it is pretty ignorant. A game is supposed to be fun. If it's not, it's not good. The physics are terrible. I've put a lot of time into MX Bikes. I actually have fun with that because it is a simulator. When you play that well, it is fun. Comparing Legends to that is laughable. It is not realistic and it's not a good arcade-type game. The game is trash. I'm glad you like it though. Keep giving them your money.

It’s just hard, you can be an excellent developer but understanding a dirtbike and how it should feel on top of being proficient with code, is very rare. There’s not a ton of dirt bike enthusiasts that write code, or coders that have an interest in dirt bikes, though they do exist, and even when they do, it’s another thing to do it well. Getting accurate physics is also entirely different from achieving a game feel that people will like, or that feels intuitive. In general though, if they were to strip each component of the bike, and write functions for it and tie it to a half descent physics engine, and piece it together to dirtbike object that looks convincing enough aesthetically, then that should be fine. What I find odd is if these are new developers, why didn’t they just focus on learning the code base, add the new content for the year, and leave the physics be gameplay the same as a previous year?

for me, they just put WRC (rally car) physics into motocross game. the drift on the front end before turning, kinda similar with scandinavian flick of rally cars.

Oh get ready for Deja vu. Mtg is from a bunch of scammers. If the oem team was on board I'd say ok maybe but they want nothing to do with it. So yea I'm going to predict it's doa in 2027. No way it releases earlier. If they were further along they wouldn't have used a fake trailer. You'd see gameplay. Lol and their tracks are all mxb tracks with reshade. It's so funny.

@ your comment doesn’t really make sense. For starters, JDVL, the guy responsible for the project OEM tires and physics literally has his logo on the bike in the trailer. Secondly, if they didn’t show real gameplay, how do you know its mxbikes tracks with reshade? Thirdly, tracks are far from MX bike’s biggest problem. Having them all ported to mtg would be a huge win.

In 2 years when mtg has been released remember this comment. Also the pajeka tire model which they're using is trash for 2 wheeled physics and doesn't work correctly at low speeds. Just book mark these comments and come back in a year.

I’m glad to see that the mx gaming community is FINALLY coming to an agreement. We are starting to not be afraid of being honest when something is unacceptable. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. There needs to be a bare minimum standard for these games regardless of what company is behind it. The fact that any studio would actually release this FOR SALE instead of giving it away or delaying it because they can’t in their heart of hearts sell this inferior product is embarrassing to say the least.

Uh, hah... KT usually fixes things, but it takes them forever. They love to act tone deaf to concern/criticism. I'm somehow not surprised this game is weird, if not terrible. The first WRC games from KT were... again, weird, 5 was particularly bad. I seen that KT Racing/Nacon made it this time around, making it the second series KT bought from Milestone. Honestly, the physics 'look' like they remind me of MXGP 2. I could be entirely wrong. It's just unfortunate to see this game launch like this. I understand KT is a significantly smaller team than Milestone. Though it'd be nice to actually get a solid licensed MX game for once.

Can i say... I've never been able to pick up and play a nacon game right away. Every one has a steep learning curve. It's not fair to talk trash on these physics without even touching setup.. nacon focuses on realism, and takes a while to learn. I get that they are lacking in a few areas (mp, customization) but you can't pick up a sim and expect it to play like an arcade game

U probably don't care what I think I've played got hours on it today I give it 2 out 5 the graphics are KT racing their fine and get good pics which is cool to me,the presentation is good and career is ok but your number doesn't come on the official bike which I hope it's fixed the handling especially the brakes are horrible to me worse than the handling is from 1st person 100 times easier than 3rd person u can get into a rhythm after a good couple hours of playing but 1st hour is hard like hard if their fix replays being totally broken the number not coming up on the official bike when I start riding it and brakes I would happy after all that is AI and how their are cause that something else their slow most part even at highest setting then at couple tracks their mental quick as said not tried every track but yeah sorry this being long

I'm assuming MP will be added, along with more bikes and gear etc. They'll also do bug fixes and tune up the handling based on community feedback and parts customization. Thanks for your opinion. I plan to buy it in a month. This game is a sim, as long as they update it to finish it I have high hopes still. One more thing, I've never been able to be smooth with stock controls/settings or to "pick-up-and-play" a NACON game. But I have all their simulators, from SKATE to TT to FIA WRC and Trucks. Marketing companies suck for gaming, but KT simulator engine is one of the best on the market. I play everything helmet cam with realistic settings.

@@MaestroP1 aye it's takes a while to get controller setting right with KT,nacon,kylton all different ones isle of man on edge 2 I'm good at it now but I'm still not happy with settings wrc got it figured to my liking with KT and rims rims is an arse but rewarding at same time so yeah if like me as u said like the games their do get it but take your time as said I'm pausing the career mode untill their do fixes I don't want get deep into then something breaks or having new save will make things work got burnt like that before just do races untill then,aye I have faith in them to get it to a ok state being blunt I think the next one be alot better I wish hadn't came out like this know I will say I get it I emailed today about couple things but was nice and just said it how it is especially the career mode numbers not showing on the bike for me to immersed that is annoying but yeah glad could help as said ive got all wrc of theirs rims and isle of man tt on edge 1st and 2nd not the 3rd isle of man does me in rims gives me that fix

@@tamwalker3431 I love this take. I never played TT1, but i played TT2, and TT3 uses the same physics as RIMs does, just on a different road. The only issue I have with TT is the bike sound, the only issue with RIMs is they need more content updates lol. Companies are greedy, you have every right to be mad that it's not finished. I'm not ready to write it off yet, but I'm going to wait a few weeks before I pick it up. They'll only get better from here.

I play simracing in general and I'm not a big fan of motorbike games, but I have some like Ride 2, MX vs ATV Ls, which I was encouraged to buy it watching your videos, and I also have MXGP21, which without being a great game I enjoy it, and I'm very sad that this new game is as bad as you show it, and also seeing the reviews on Steam. At some point I thought about buying it but I was waiting for your review first and thanks to your sacrifice I don't even think about seeing possibility of buying it, I'll stick with the ones I have.

I had high expectations for this game, I pre-ordered it, played 30 mins last night and almost cried. The training put me off so much, the steering is terrible. Brakes, do they even exist? The whipping is great, feels more free than mxgp 2021, I'm hoping there's a few updates for it so it's more enjoyable to ride. Also gutted that they removed TM racing and replaced it with triumph bikes 😢

I was perfectly fine with it having flaws since it was their first go with it. There are some things they could build off of, but the ground physics just don't feel right. I have since put more time into the game and there are things a player can do to make it play better from the get go.
